Great for an elderly cat with a poor appetite

I have a 14 year old kitty with IBD and most days have been a struggle getting her to eat more than a few bites of food each meal, even on meds that make her hungry

I have a 14 year old kitty with IBD and most days have been a struggle getting her to eat more than a few bites of food each meal, even on meds that make her hungry. We tried this bowl tonight and she finished an entire 3 oz can of food for the first time in months. I think she likes that it's so wide on top of being elevated and the little edge did a good job holding the food while she licked it. Crossing my fingers that she still likes it tomorrow morning, but she definitely seemed to have an easier time eating from it than a regular bowl or plate.

There are three sizes of this dish on Chewy, and the smaller two were bowl-shaped and looked too deep, and this one is plate-shaped and looked too shallow & wide

There are three sizes of this dish on Chewy, and the smaller two were bowl-shaped and looked too deep, and this one is plate-shaped and looked too shallow & wide. But upon receiving, it isn't too shallow so my cats aren't pushing food over the side, and it isn't absurdly wide.

I have three cats and each has a separate bowl/dish for feeding them their morning wet food. I decided to try these (along with a very similar dish) to make things more uniform. I like the fact that they are elevated and don't have any corners where their food can get stuck, so they can easily get every bit of food. And the rubber-band at the bottom keeps them from making hard contact with either the floor or our countertops. I do wish that the rubber-band was affixed because they can come off easily in the washing process.

NO more vomiting after eating!

I originally bought one of these for my geriatric cat who I suspected was suffering from whisker fatigue and possibly neck pain while eating, so he would walk away

I originally bought one of these for my geriatric cat who I suspected was suffering from whisker fatigue and possibly neck pain while eating, so he would walk away from his food before it was gone. It worked so well for him that I bought three more for my other cats, one of whom frequently vomited right after eating. No more vomiting! They clean up easily and are well worth the price.

I will say it is a little pricy but it’s worth it since it’s wide and not too deep, it’s also perfect for adult cats. I misinterpreted the description at the top and thought it came with TWO bowls in one purchase LOL, my mistake though

I began jerryrigging little stands so they could eat at a more comfortable postion. While that was an easy and frugal solution, this lovely elevated and thoughtfully designed dish is a pretty awesome upgrade!

I got these for my senior kitties when I noticed they were having troubles finishing their wet food off their old dishes (saucers that sit on the floor). They do a lot better, and I’ve noticed a reduction in vomiting, with this dish! The print is cute and colorful, but not garish. It’s also long lasting where it’s sealed into the material rather than a cheap vinyl sticker on the outside. The height is a good one for cats, and I like that this bowl is properly shallow, rather than a high-sided cup that they have to stick their face into; this style relieves whisker fatigue. It’s a smooth porcelain material which is great for cleanup. The only downside is, it’s a porcelain material so it isn’t shatterproof; I had to replace one recently when my girlie got so excited for breakfast she headbonked the dish right out of my hand.
