Cuts nails easily but it’s not perfect and still frays just a little bit, maybe a technique that I am not aware of would help but I’d say they are still a step above

Cuts nails easily but it’s not perfect and still frays just a little bit, maybe a technique that I am not aware of would help but I’d say they are still a step above the generic ones you find everywhere. Still happy with the purchase even though it was a little speedy. Next one I buy will be the hibino samurai grade trimmer.

i’m so glad i bought these nail clippers! i used to just use human nail clippers on my cats, but these make it so much easier and quicker. obviously they still don’t

I've been using a lot of different brands of nail clippers but the Necoichi is going to be my permanent clipper from now on. It's clips so smoothly, didn't make the *snip* sound, and I don't think my cats realized what was happening. They very much dislike getting their claws clipped but I think I finally found a solution.

These clippers are fantastic. They are easy to handle, it's easy to see where you are clipping, and they are sharp enough to cut quickly and quietly. I can pretty stealthily clip one claw at a time without bothering my cat. I previously had a guillotine type clippers and they were awful. It was hard to see where I was clipping and I had to use a lot of squeeze force to clip, and it was loud and scared my cat.

My cat has always hated nail trim time, whether it was with the more traditional (crushing :( ) clippers, or with the rotating dremmel. These Necoichi clippers had so many positive reviews, I was eager to try them out as soon as they arrived. They are surprisingly comfortable to use, and the blades are thin and sharp, as described. Besides my cat's usual annoyance at me extending her nails, she allowed me to trim all of her nails while she remained laying on a blanket- that was a first! After one paw, she actually flopped her head upside down like she was enjoying herself. I'm so glad I found a product that doesn't hurt my cat by crushing the nail and instead cleanly cuts it.

I bought one of these over 5 years ago and they are still like brand new after cutting 3 cats nails regularly. The cheaper ones I used to buy were horrible, but

I bought one of these over 5 years ago and they are still like brand new after cutting 3 cats nails regularly. The cheaper ones I used to buy were horrible, but I didn’t realize how bad they were until I bought these. They would not cut perfectly or quickly and they would get hung up and fray my cat’s nails and it caused them pain. It was a bad experience. Although these were around $25, they have been such a blessing to have and worth every cent. I justified the price, because they are made in Japan and I don’t think anyone else could make clippers this perfect. The blade is beveled, curved and sharp, which is very important and pain free for my babies. They don’t fight me at all now. They are completely calm and actually appreciate it. These clippers are still as sharp as the day I purchased them and cutting their nails is so quick and easy. The imprint on them is not even faded and still looks brand new. My only problem has been misplacing them, so I make sure I have a dedicated spot for them. I highly recommend them and I would never use anything else.

I chose these clippers because I got to try my daughter's first, as she had been using a pair for a few months on her cat. I thought it seemed expensive for what it was, but once I tried it I didn't hesitate to order. I use these on three cats, and they work great. They're small but easy to get my fingers into and get into just the right position to trim their claws. There's rarely ever any splitting, and the blades cut effortlessly through the claw tips. Please make sure not to trim too short. I keep mine well away from where you can see pink inside the claw. Trimming a little is just as good as trimming a lot. Anyway, the cats let me trim them without any complaints, though they do understand that they get a treat when we're done. :-)

These are much sharper/easier to use than the cheapo pair of nail clippers I should have replaced long ago. Those would sometimes more crush the nail than actually

These are much sharper/easier to use than the cheapo pair of nail clippers I should have replaced long ago. Those would sometimes more crush the nail than actually cut it, whereas these are much sharper. It also works as a pill splitter, which I found suggested when I was looking online for 4-way pill splitters. My cat is on a 1/4 of a small oval pill, and it's impossible to use a regular pill splitter. These probably aren't going to be 100% accurate, but I split ~20 pills in four and none of them crumbled into dust, which is more than I can say for the guillotine-style pill splitter.
