The box was pretty banged up, one of the warranty seals was also ripped when it arrived. I got it inside and immediately checked the glass doors, since they were fine, I just put it together. It has even more scratches than pictured, even the glass door has a huge scratch in the middle. Only reason I'm not returning it is because I got it on such a nice black Friday deal for the size (120 gallons). I still decorated it for my Beardie!
I was hoping after all this time with the enclosure being changed physically you would think it would be to improve… I have an older model and just got this new model today. Older model had way larger glass and at least put together correctly. This has nothing to do with improving the enclosure it was purely to cut their costs. It would be different if the bottom was sealed so it could be to fill more substrate in it. You would have to seal it yourself. It had more chips and scrapes on old model. This new model had screw holes filled with the plastic material that destroyed the screw rims for it to hold in place and one that wasn’t even made correctly and the screw didn’t screw into the hole either. With that issue the enclosure is unstable. Glass had scratches fresh out of the box… with all that packaging you would think it would be more secure. I was going to upgrade all my enclosures with these which would be 10+ and was going to buy one each paycheck till I had them all but after seeing their quality get worse I won’t be. I will be getting Dubia.com enclosures. A bit more expensive but I rather have an enclosure that costs more and last 10+ years over one cheaper that doesn’t even make it out of the factory without issues. I had a ton of other issues and video proof but it won’t let me post videos. This company needs to do better. I was so excited because it’s such a beautiful enclosure and now I’m upset and feel cheated by the quality. The enclosure holds but for how long? I’m going to have to put actual screws in it to hold…When and if this company fixes these issues I’ll give 5 stars. Until then I won’t be buying again.
I'm unsure why I was able to purchase this during black Friday only for it to go out of stock, asking me if I wanted to know when it's next in stock. No, I purchased it while they said they had it. When are you going to be next in stock, I needed this tank on Wednesday when it said it would be delivered. I would have found another seller during black Friday if I realized stock was so low.
Loses a star for the cheapness of the screws, sort of plastic-like and 1/5 of them weren’t able to screw into the too large of holes. Otherwise amazing, my escape artist ball python hasn’t and hopefully won’t figure out the latch. Thick paneling on the side allows me to ad a low wattage heat mat to keep her shedding box warm n humid. The loose screws don’t really break it, and if anything it’s more helpful for if you need to pack up the tank and move it.
This is the cheapest 4’x2’x2’ that you are going to find all others are $280 and above. For the price I got this for I am willing to make my own hole to mount UVB on the inside and run the cord out through it. It came a little damaged but chewy support was quick to help direct me to New Age Pets to get replacement parts sent out to me. I highly recommend at least for a bearded dragon , I cannot attest to maintaining humidity for other species.
My husband secured ours to an old coffee table to give it some height. Love it, nice quality.....but with no glass so you will need a way to put up your hammock and or other accessories. But very roomy and my husband said it's wasn't difficult to put together. The sealant was recommended by my local exotic pet store.
For the price I can rig a few things.. like the tissue between the back wall going up the sides! You will absolutely loose a worm or roach in those gaps! I own this in the other color as well they both have the same gap. But it works for my Girl Jave so overall I'm happy with my purchase. Would I upgrade to the 48 in with this company, IDK!!
Looks good. I love the front opening design. Relatively easy to assemble. Pretty light weight. I did have to seal the cracks on the inside with aquarium silicone, and put HVAC tape on the screen top to keep the heat in. It’s not holding humidity at all unfortunately even with 3-4in of damp reptichip. It’s roughly the same price as a 40gal fish tank that I’ve got my other ball python in and that holds humidity better. So I would recommend for a less humid species.
This is a great set up for my bearded dragon, but there are a few things I don't like. I don't like that the crickets can climb up the sides of the tank, so I have to watch to see where there are, so they don't get out before opening the doors. And there is no way to use a heat rock because you can't run the cord though anywhere. it can't go through the doors because it would leave a big crack and the crickets escape. if these things are not a problem for you I would say go for it. the tank looks great in my room.
This was easy to put together, the only tools needed came with it. It’s very roomy for my two Rankins babies! It would house a bearded dragon with no problem. I had plenty of room for decor and branches, hides and other foo foo stuff.
