We recommend adding a little MEOW to your cat's food over the course of 7 days, starting with a small amount and gradually increasing MEOW each day, while decreasing the amount of their old food. Start with 75% old food mixed with 25% MEOW for approximately two days, then mix 50% old with 50% MEOW for the next two days, then 25% old to 75% MEOW for another two days, then 100% MEOW.

I have a kitty with IBD, allergies to lots of food. She’s been on the expensive limited ingredient dry food by Royal Canin, but they dropped the venison option after Covid. I tried this as an alternate, but my kitty needed more frequent trips to the vet for steroid shots. Turns out she can’t have lamb either. My kitty LOVES this, and it otherwise would work so I won’t knock down my rating, but it would be really nice to have a product that has solely venison without any other protein in it.
One of my cats eats freeze dried solely, by choice, so I have tried all the "best" brands for her. The duck variety of this brand is a major hit with her -- she'll devour a bag in a week. This venison one, though...she won't touch it. The bits are VERY large, and she has mouth/chewing issues, so each piece needs to be broken into half or thirds for her to be able to even attempt eating it. It's also a very rough texture, and it has to be crumbled up and/or rehydrated -- but for some reason this bag just won't rehydrate entirely. I've tried every avenue to get her to eat it... and she turns her nose up -- and she LOVES fresh venison that my family hunts. The duck flavor of this brand is spot on for her, but this venison flavor is a no go.
They're cats, they are picky. They like this better than than very high-end canned. I free feed it dry (the kibble is soft).
