HAZARDS TO HUMANS: Paw+ is for external animal use only and is safe for both puppies and adult dogs. Keep out of reach of children.
Paw+ is a concentrated formula and MUST BE DILUTED WITH WATER. In a container big enough to fit one of your dog's paws, mix ½ cup of Paw+ with 1 ½ cups of warm water. Soak each paw in the container for 10-15 seconds then lightly pat dry. Repeat daily for 3 days. For best results do not wash your dog with soap or shampoo 3 days before or after application. It is safe for your dog to lick its paws after the application. For ongoing maintenance continue to apply once a week or as needed to help keep your dog's paws healthy.
Yes this will help. Your dog’s paws are irritated. PAW+ cleans and disinfects their paws to remove these irritants.
Yes. PAW+ is made with ingredients that are non toxic and will not harm your dog.
We recommend you repeat daily for 5 days after which you should see an improvement. Once signs of paw licking are seen, can start the 5 day treatment.
We would recommend using a new mixture every time in order to guarantee full effectiveness.
Yes.
I live in the city and both of my dogs get persistent paw infections. My doctor recommended soaking their paws in the bath tub with water and an antiseptic / anti-microbial shampoo (i.e., Curaseb or or Micoseb). While the shampoos work after repeated treatments, I've found that Omega Paw works faster and with fewer treatments... even when using a slightly more diluted solution than recommended.
I googled "paw licking" and this product came up and sounded like a possible solution to stop our dog's paw licking. (Her feet are white and the saliva turns them pinkish red between washings.) Since I was placing an order with Chewy anyway, I searched their site, found it and decided to give it a try... First of all, it is a cleanser that MAY HELP stop paw licking. The instructions say not to use 3 days before or after bathing with shampoo. So we had to wait 3 days to try it. It is concentrated, so you have to dillute it. Instructions say to use half a cup (approx. 1/3 of bottle) with 1 1/2 cups water and soak each paw 10-15 seconds & pat dry. Even states it is okay if the dog licks the paw afterwards! (I guess that is their way of saying, it is safe in the event they lick the paw?) So if you use fresh solution each time, you only have 3 applications. It does not state whether it is safe to reuse the solution so it lasts longer. I had no problem cleansing our dog's hind paws. However, it was impossible to soak her front paws. I resorted to a spray bottle to try on her front paws, all the while she was licking. After 3 days of doing this once a day, her paws are red and sores appear to be forming. She has licked her paws more than ever. We are discontinuing use of this product. I found advertising for this product very misleading as it is merely a cleanser that MAY HELP stop paw licking. It is NOT a deterrant. Very disappointed and may be headed to the veterinarian.
Save your money. It's not something that works. What it does is rinse the paws. It does not solve the issue of paw licking.
I purchased two bottles because I read the advice of other reviews, however, after one week of doing the soak 2X a day there is no improvement. I will continue to try and see if there are any results with further use.
This seems to be working. My dog doesn't like me dipping his paws, but he's hardly licking them anymore. His paws were looking pink and irritated and now they are looking much more normal.
First, we wanted a product that would soak in to our dog's paws and not leave residue on out flooring and the various blankets, pillows and pieces of furniture she chooses to nap on. Omega Paw+ fit that preference, and even though it has lavender oil in it, there is no residue. Second, our dog has such sensitive paws, she is truly obsessed with licking them to the point of becoming raw. Even after one treatment, I could tell a slight lessening of her licking. After a few more, I saw continually less paw licking. Because of her extreme sensitivity, we did 5 treatments initially and plan to continue with at least weekly treatments, if not twice a week, until this condition is under control for her optimum comfort and functionality. Also, because she is a small dog, we used less solution, but kept the same ratio to warm water.
I had high hopes for this and it fell short at least for my itchy pitbull
Our 2 year old boxer seems to be allergic to the world. The area between his toes is chronically swollen, red and "cheesey". The vet has prescribed various washes and ointments over the last several months- we even went through several months of allergy shots and nothing seemed to work....until now. I am SO delighted to say this stuff REALLY WORKS!! I have found that I can stretch out there bottle little longer by using about 1&1/2 cups of water & 1/4 cup of solution. - I started seeing a difference after the very first treatment and it was completely gone after the third. Now we just treat as needed (for us that's about once a week or so).
My dog kept licking paws till they were bloody, took him to the vet today. I followed the instructions completely.
this product does not work or decrease the licking and chewing on the paws at all .spending $10. for this and $6.for shipping was a huge disappointment
