    works well, vet approved

    By on

My vet ophthalmologist recommended this for cleaning around the eyes. It works well and I know it is safe. (I use a gauze pad with a few drops of Optixcare on it- the gauze texture helps pick up debris and no fibers are left to get into the eye.)

    I've used this for years

I've had in the past and currently have a cat whose eyes drain. It comes out clear then turns a solid black if I don't get it off. This eye cleaner has worked quite well.

    Love this stuff!

    By on

I have a young Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that has a lot of tearing due to his tiny tear ducts (according to the ophthalmologist). This stuff has been the best at keeping things clean, smelling better, and him looking better. I use it once to twice a day. I use a reusable cotton round with it to clean things off. I'm a licensed vet tech and we use Optixcare products for our anesthetized patients so I'm much more comfortable using this than something not intended for eyes, and it works.

    Works great BUT....

    By on

My Maltese gets occasional gunk accumulation at the inner corners of his eyes, which can be tough to remove using just grooming wipes or a washcloth. This stuff does a great (and quick!) job of softening up any hardened gunk, making it super easy to then wipe off (or comb out, which I do with a small eye comb that I also ordered off of Chewy). I use it about once a week, and it does a great job of keeping his eyes clean and gunk-free, plus it seems to help prevent excessive staining from happening. However, for some reason, my dog gets VERY fussy when I use this on him, which is unlike him, so I wonder if theres something in it that might be irritating? No more stink eye!

    By on

Finally something that works on my pup’s stinky eyes. It works quickly, and I only had to use it a couple times a week. My dog doesn’t have under eye staining, so I don’t know how effective it is on that; but it is great for stinky eyes!

    Makes good combo

    By on

This brands wipes alone are not enough but, saturating them with their liquid shortens the torture time it takes to clean my doggies eyes.

    Great for Emmy

    By on

Emmy my little rescue Yorkie has "dry eye". With that comes along the mucus discharge from her eye. It is especially bad in the morning and the fur becomes stiff. So after wiping her eyes with a warm cloth I apply Optixcare in the fur under her eyes, then wait a minute. I take a small flea comb and it combs right out. It is so much better for her than trying to use water in a syringe when all it did was upset her. Great product!

    Relief for Dude

    By on

This is amazing. Just what my dog needed for the “Goop” around and in his eye. The eye wipes alone did not seem to work. It seem to make the area dry. He looks relieved when I do it. Not that he loves it by any means. But he does tolerate it.
