This is a good product. It is large enough for my jumbo-sized cat (all muscle as they say lol). The stainless steel makes it easy to scoop. I’ve always used plastic litter boxes but this is far better. The shape of the litter box also prevents my cat from creating a pile of litter on the floor with each use like he has always done. The step is not useful for him. He’s big enough to just step in.

This was a replacement for a large “top loading” litter box that my 10-year-old cat has used since kittenhood. He entered through an opening on top. But, as he’s getting a little older and plumper, I wanted to change to something with easier access. My cat transitioned to the new litter box seemlessly. So far, there is less litter scattered and less litter tracking than with the old litter box, and I appreciate that entry and exit is easier for my little buddy.

Since I switched to this metal one, there is less smell. It's easier to clean. The cats like to jump over the step instead of using it, but it still catches some of the litter. The higher sides do help contain some of the litter the cats like to throw, so I am very happy with it.
