The Penn-Plax Floating Turtle Pier Platform has everything a basking platform needs for turtles, frogs, newts or salamanders. It’s designed to float at water level and allows you to maintain an ideal water level while compensating for evaporation. The textured ramp secures to the edge of the platform and leads down into the water for easy access to the basking ledge. Extension pylons are included to adjust the height up to 12" (small) or 16" (large), and the smaller platform includes an optional filter holder that fits the Penn-Plax Reptology Internal Filter 45 (sold separately). This platform looks like a real pier and works great in both small and large tanks.

Got this large platform for our 8y.o. painted turtle. He has gotten so big that the platforms that suction to the side of the tank were always leaning and never dry. Took him just a couple hours to figure out how to get on the platform - after biting the ramp a few times for good measure. It is in a 40 gal tank and takes up a considerable amount of space so it may not be the best for small tanks. We keep his tank about 3/4 full so he still has lots of room to swim under it. My only complaint is the texture on the uprights. It’s supposed to look like coiled rope which is cute, but it will be hard to keep free of algae and the turtle doesn’t care what it looks like. Also we drilled holes in the indentation at the back of the platform like others suggested so water would not get in there and stagnate.
I love it but it is to big for my tank. My Fred likes it but don't have n e room to swim in his tank. I got a 40 gallon tank and a large took up half of the space up to get a large u need about a 60 gallon n up tank. But besides that it's good to half
Terrible product. The ramp was rendered useless within a month. The turtles weren't even using it. The turtles won't use the dock at all. I would recommend purchasing something else.
Sturdy and large platform, works great. Perfect for larger turtles and tanks
This looked great but the edge on the float was sharp enough to cut my fish's tail off. It grew back. I know this is for turtles but I have a feeder fish that became a friend so I had to stop using it.
It won't stay still and sinks. The suction cups on the bottom just let it move around and it holds water on top of the dock.
This dock is not worth the price. It is too much extra work to get it to be useable. The dowels (pylons) have suctions on the bottom but they are not secure. They move around the bottom of the tank. The ramp isn’t attached so it gets knocked over by my turtle every few minutes. The dock sinks and falls sideways into the water. Having to fix the dock every few minutes is not feasible. My turtle also is unable to get on it without extra rocks as a support. I do not recommend this product.
My turtles love the platform. Great on my 55 gallon tank
We really liked the look of this dock, unfortunately it does not stay suctioned cupped very well. We do have a sand bottom in our turtle aquarium, removed all sand aside and tried getting it to stick and stay. Being that it wouldn’t on its own, we still gave it a chance and pushed over sand to try and get the weight of the gathered sand and rocks to hold it down. That didn’t work either, so we removed it after a few days. :(
My turtle loves basking on this dock. I love the food tray in the back and how nice it looks in my tank.
