Cats like them--'tail' piece an odd texture

I am new to cat-ownership and still learning what works and what doesn't. My 2 cats were very excited to see these feathers after they fully destroyed the bundle

I am new to cat-ownership and still learning what works and what doesn't. My 2 cats were very excited to see these feathers after they fully destroyed the bundle of feathers that came with their fishing rod. They immediately picked up bundles and ran off with them, then after some attack time were happy to have me attach one to their rod and started hunting. They seem to have gotten the toy out of the toy box overnight and got a long feather off already, but there are still plenty attached with so I'm not switching it out yet. Note that there are no bells on these feathers. My cats fortunately don't seem to mind. The tail piece is very enticing for my cats and they love carrying it around and putting it on their scratching board. However, it sticks to their tongues. I tried unsuccessfully to remove it but they kept taking it back and I didn't know if I should fight them to get rid of it. They appear to have started grooming it, and I am not sure if that's a good thing because that may make it stop sticking so they can play with it more freely, or a bad thing because they are probably swallowing fibers.

Various attachments and easy to take on and off

Kitties love all things feathers with three jumping, diving, biting and attacking it is great to have various options and ones that hold up as well as easy to replace

Well constructed but lack a clasp

These feather attachments do not have a clip to attach to the wands, only a closed loop. I have to use zip ties to attach them. Which also means you have to cut

These feather attachments do not have a clip to attach to the wands, only a closed loop. I have to use zip ties to attach them. Which also means you have to cut them off each time you want to change them. Minus the reduced functionality, these are some of the better designed feather attachments and my cats love them.
