Definitely works. Pakie let’s me spray it on the areas needed. Have some battle wounds as he doesn’t like hair tugging while brushing. His knots are Almost completely gone. But overall this is great. Also LOVE that it’s unscented, he has a very sensitive nose. Caused zero sneezes! The first one I tried (different brand) almost had him in an asthma attack. This one is great though
Every summer our cat gets mats on his back. We brush and cut mats for a couple of months. We just tried this detangler. Our cat didn't like us spraying it on him, but we managed to get some on and within 3 days the mats were gone with a little brushing. Wow.
I bought it because it was for CATS not both cats and dogs. I was worried about her ingesting it when grooming herself. It didn't help much with the mats. I did better using a grooming brush on dry fur. I think it might be more helpful in preventing mats than removing them. Also, the sprayer didn't work and I had to put it in another spray bottle, very annoying.
Our long haired boy was getting knots in his armpits that were difficult to comb and would matt and hurt him. We first this on a little each day and it combs through much easier. His fur is tangle free now we spray every couple days and comb the problem areas. So much better now.
So glad I didn't heed the negative reviews and took a chance and bought Fab Fur. This has been absolutely miraculous for my 19 year old beautiful long-haired kitty. It will take time, but I'm now able to brush through his enormous matts and his fur is becoming soft and beautiful again. Less stress for him and me.
Works pretty well for detangling my cat's fur. No odor to it which is nice.
Tried everything on my long haired cats matted hair. This did not work either. She will have to have a lion cut which I hate to do to her but, cannot find anything that works.
Did not seem to help detangle hair knots on my kitty. Sprayed and massaged and then waited a bit before combing. Did not notice any improvement so I am not impressed.
I don't normally write reviews but this stuff worked amazing. We have 2 Maine Coon/Persian mix cats. Mattes are a huge problem. We do not use this like the instructions say "to spray on and comb through" our cats would never allow that. What we did with a 3 inch, tight to the skin hair mat was to saturate the mat, then GENTLY massage it for a few seconds...working it gently away from the skin. Then leave it...we didn't do anything else. Then the next day the mat was half the size...I have no idea HOW, but we did the same thing again, saturated it, massaged away from the skin for 2 or 3 seconds (until our cat said ENOUGH). By day three there was a tiny little mat and we just snipped it off because it was no longer up next to the skin. We brush them out daily, but they still get the occasional mat because they are 12 yrs old and lay around a lot. We have used this method with 2 substancial mats and had the same result both times. I'm in love with this product.
Not sure yet. Used it once on Max's medium length fur which the spot was really matted. Really didn't loosen it up. I ended up having to cut it. So I really can't say either way if I like it or not.
