How and with what cleaning solution(s) are best to properly sanitize these fabric toothbrushes while also keeping them safe for oral usage for my cat?

I'm not sure what qualifications the person had who said "microwave it," but when I tried that it made my cat's gums bleed. I asked my veterinary dentist, and she said just rinse thoroughly with water & replace with a new one weekly.

What is it made from?

Does it have enough texture to really brush the teeth? Bristly enough?

Soft, dog doesn’t mind it

Very soft, so my dog doesn’t mind my using it to brush her teeth. Round end to it; another type I bought had more cloth after the end, which irritated my dog’s mouth-

For Dogs, yes - Cats, no

This works really well for dogs, but with the finger toothbrush on, there was not enough room to fit in the cats' mouths. I'm responsible for the care of 12 cats

A regular toothbrush is too bulky for my dog's small mouth. It's difficult to brush some of his upper molars, but this finger brush does a more complete job.

They are soft but effective

I really like these. You can reuse but I do believe they need to be rinsed off. So different than the old ones that are plastic and a lot rougher.

Easy to use on small dog

The finger toothbrush, with about 3/4 inch extending beyond the finger, works very well on a small dog's small mouth. It is much less bulky than a regular toothbrush

The finger toothbrush, with about 3/4 inch extending beyond the finger, works very well on a small dog's small mouth. It is much less bulky than a regular toothbrush or a rubber, bristled finger brush. With the toothpaste on the extension, you can get it way back in her mouth and even if she chews on the fabric she is still spreading the toothpaste around.

Great alternative to a brush

Definitely made brushing easier for my nervous kitty

My one-year-old cat was diagnosed with juvenile hyperplastic gingivitis, which means I HAVE to brush his teeth if he has any hope of keeping them. I was very nervous

My one-year-old cat was diagnosed with juvenile hyperplastic gingivitis, which means I HAVE to brush his teeth if he has any hope of keeping them. I was very nervous about getting started because even though he's sweet & gentle in general, he gets SUPER NERVOUS anytime I try to brush him (just brushing his fur!) And he runs & hides the second he sees the brush, and bolts from my arms in the middle of brushing. I REALLY didn't want this to be a daily version of that! Our dental vet recommended an over-the-finger style, and I thought this looked good bc of the gentle feel (for the cat) and how easy it would be for ME to feel through the fabric that I'm maneuvering correctly, and that was absolutely the case. He seemed totally indifferent, honestly, like he didn't even care about what I was doing. I'm so happy that we can do this every day without stressing him out and ruining our bond!
