Description

PetAg Bene-Bac Plus FOS & Probiotics Gel Supplement is a concentrated blend of seven naturally occurring microorganisms found in the intestinal tract of mammals. Newborn mammals have no bacteria in their GI tract at birth and inoculation typically comes from nursing on their mother. If these newborns are being bottle-fed, giving a probiotic may help to speed the growth of needed bacteria in the GI tract. This supplement can also help animals who are experiencing stress, a change in diet or who are on antibiotics. This potent gel contains 20 million CFU per gram of viable lactic acid-producing bacteria.

Key Benefits

  • Contains a source of live naturally occurring microorganisms for dogs, cats, exotics and wildlife mammals
  • Great to use when training, working, transporting, showing, post clinical therapy, weaning, or for orphaned newborns
  • Recommended any time an animal experiences stress from changing nutritional or environmental conditions
  • Relieves intestinal stress with lactic acid producing bacteria
  • Contains 20 million CFU per gram of viable lactic acid producing bacteria

  • It helps defecation

    By on

One of my dogs is from a puppy mill and he had been making soft poop since we have got him. We started feeding this product and after a week, his poop become solid. Since then his waste looks healthy. We still give it to him once a week. We are very much satisfied with this item. BUT! if your dog had diarrhea, I recommend you to go a Vet before its to late. I think this is not for severe situation.

  • Great probiotic for dogs

    By on

My dog has a history of GI issues, and food sensitivities. Her vet introduced us to Bene-Bac because, unlike probiotic powders that are on the market, this one is free from ingredients that could upset my dog's stomach. My dog actually looks forward to her "pudding"! It's easy to give and it seems like it is helping my dog's tummy.

  • Cannot Live Without!

My guinea pig was suffering from a digestive imbalance. She had diarrhea and lack of appetite, this was my go to so that the issue can be corrected. So glad I did, she is all well now and has gained her weight back! Will buy this product again.

  • Ingredients now differ from what was just listed on here when I ordered!?

    By on

The ingredients on this Bene-Bac Plus gel are different from what was just listed here on chewy's description when I ordered. Sugar is now listed as the 3rd ingredient on my applicator & on the listing (I would not have purchased it had I known this). The description on chewy had said it contained dextrose (a sugar) at the end of ingredients (making it a very small amount), and I even asked chewy what the % of dextrose was in questions above before I ordered, and they replied "3%". I am not happy with this as it is for my sick ferret (ferrets should not have sugar as it is known to cause insulinomas).

Every now and then my dog gets upset stomach and i will give her some of this paste and it helps her fast! She also loves the taste. The tube lasted me quite a long time since she only needs a small amount. I like to keep it on hand just in case

  • Improved stools after antibiotics, but not enough

    By on

My dog was on antibiotics for a few days after getting a broken tooth repaired and his teeth cleaned. It gave him chronic diarrhea. I started giving him this product to replace the good bacteria the antibiotics had wiped out. He loves the taste of this gel, and will eat it right out of the tube. After giving it to him daily for a week, I saw some improvement in his stools, but they still weren't back to what they used to be before the antibiotics. I decided to try pumpkin (Diggin your dog's Firm Up! Pumkin, to be more specific, also sold here on Chewy), and saw considerable improvement in his stools in just a couple of days. I am still giving him the Benebac, but it seems to work best in combination My dog was on antibiotics for a few days after getting a broken tooth repaired and his teeth cleaned. • Useful to have on hand for digestive upset

    By on

Good product to have on hand in case of an upset stomach and GI tract. I've only used it in conjunction with pumpkin, rice, and boiled chicken when trying to fix a case of cannon butt, so I can't speak to whether this would work all on its own. However, I think it's a useful product to assist in re-regulating their digestive system.

  • Worked like a charm!

    By on

I had a dog that had a C-section and was put on an antibiotic. Puppies ended up with some nasty stools, so I started them and Mom on this probiotic and I could already see a noticeable improvement in two days. I will make sure I have this product on hand at all times. Great stuff!

  • Tasty treat

    By on

My kitten thinks this is a tasty treat, makes keeping his gut healthy a breeze. He licks it off my finger and is always happy to have more. If he is not interested I put it in his food. Good product, great price
