How often do you have to replace a filter?

We recommend rinsing the filter at each water change and replacing the filter every 6-8 weeks. This may vary depending on how many pets are using the waterer.

I forgot to rinse the filter when i first opened it is that a problem

If the filter isn't rinsed before use, the water will not filter correctly and specs of debris will appear. Prior to use, it's advised to rinse filter under cold water. Once the water runs clear, place filter back in cap section with flat side upwards then apply filter strap across the top.

These did not work. Same size, fit well,but water is suppose to go slowly through the filter,but instead runs through like a river.

Yummy!

2 of my rescue babes love drinking my bottled or filtered ice H20. So much They will knock over my 64 oz water cup with lid or stick their paws and my regular cup

2 of my rescue babes love drinking my bottled or filtered ice H20. So much They will knock over my 64 oz water cup with lid or stick their paws and my regular cup so I have to be very careful with my water! ALL 4 DRINK MORE OUT OF THIS DISH! That tells me the filter does work! We really need 1-2 more.. But, it only came with 1 filter and they've been out of stock for months so we haven't been able to use it for quite a while now. My only and main concern is the large, irregular shaped lip underneath where the jug goes. Not easy to clean, concerned of soap getting stuck in there (especially if using dishwasher..I don't), in addition to bacteria growing IF It doesn't get thoroughly cleaned and dried! Works great though!
