My cats use this every single night for hours. Of course, it doesn't run for hours on it's own, I'm their butler so I have to keep turning it back on. But it keeps them entertained and active. I use rechargeable batteries for this since they use it so much. It will usually last about 3-4 hours of run time on those types of batteries. I find this to be much quieter than another brand's laser toy, which I greatly appreciate because I watch TV in the same room that it's in. Overall, I'm happy with this toy and so are my furry children. :)
Our boys come running when they hear this turn on. The mechanism that moves the laser is a bit noisy and this rips through batteries, unfortunately. BUT the cats LOVE it! It would be nice if it was rechargeable. We go through 3 AAA batteries a week with this toy.
I haven't had this laser toy for a month and the battery is already dying. I do feel that's the case with most batteries lately.(they don't last) Just disappointed. My fur babies did love it while it was ALIVE!!
Got it and all it does is beep when you press the button but no laser. Waste of money
it has one pattern and eats the batteries within maybe 3 days. batteries cost more than this toy to operate it. Cats are interested in it for maybe two minutes then they get bored and dizzy. I returned it (tried to) and received a refund for it.
I ended up getting rechargeable batteries for this toy, my cats play with it every day and it has saved my sanity.
I got this toy and my kitty and one of my dogs LOVED it. But within 2 weeks the light died. I tried changing the batteries and it did not help. I asked for a replaced, which Chewy sent without any hesitation (thank you!). When I got the new one, the screw on the back was horrible and was stripped immediately after I tried to screw it off to put batteries in. I somehow managed to get the screw out and added the batteries. Within 2 DAYS the light on the replacement went out just like the first one, with brand new batteries. The concept is great. Maybe there is a better brand out there that actually works… would not recommend, unfortunately.
I bought a laser pen for my kitten to give her more exercise, but she didn't really stay engaged with it like I wanted. If you hang this from a door knob your cat will be enthralled for long periods of time. Very easy to use, just need some batteries and you're good to go. The flush button on the side prevents it from accidentally being shut off during play, and the laser is bright and easy for cats to follow. I would highly recommend for energetic and playful cats.
Within a couple months of intermittent use, the laser died. It would still operate but nothing would illuminate. A major issue for a product for which this is the whole point. Avoid! Pick something else!
she really chased after the red spot until she saw where the beam was coming from, then no play!!!
