Would this help a potty pad not slip

This is not meant for keeping the litter box itself from slipping. This mat is primarily meant as an anti-tracking mat in case litter should stick to a cat’s paws as they exit the litter box. It will help pull the litter off of their feet helping keep the floors cleaner.

If the cats occasionally have an accident on the mat, is it hand washable? Thank you.

This mat is made of waterproof plastic. Simply shake or use vacuum attachment to clean.

This mat is a quality mat for catching cat litter and the occasional poop. But would not recommend the mat for a cat that misses the mark when peeing. The urine goes right through the mat and on to the floor. The urine also collects between the upper layer and the bottom of the mat.

I'm real happy with this "PetSafe Non-Slip Cat Litter Mat, Large (40"x30")" mat. It catches most all of the litter my cat tracks out of its box and is easier to vacuum up from the weaving in the mat, better than the previous small mat (different brand) I had used. This mat seems well made, not too thick or thin, and took a few months for the folds (from packaging) to finally flatten out. The edges and corners are still staying flat and not curling up. It is as described, and I recommend it to anyone.

The item is exactly as described, I suspect her making the mistake is a senior cat issue, not the item itself issue.
