Tubing crimps up the longer you use it

I am so thankful for all the reviews that called out the really thin tubing. I noticed as I continued to use this IV set on the same bag of subcutaneous fluids,

I am so thankful for all the reviews that called out the really thin tubing. I noticed as I continued to use this IV set on the same bag of subcutaneous fluids, it would not drip at all when I unclamped it and I thought that the problem was with me placing the needle into my cat incorrectly. Well after reading all the reviews about this same problem with the line crimping up the longer this was used, I then tried something. Prior to placing the needle in my cat, I first unclamped the line and low and behold nothing was dripping, so I figured out the problem was not me placing the needle into the cat incorrectly it's that the line was crimped and stopping the flow of fluids. So leaving the clamp open I slid it about an inch and was able to see the crimped part, then pried it loose with my fingers by squeezing it. Finally after that the fluid started flowing. So If this keeps happening to you I recommend this process first before injecting your pet, otherwise it will be a longer process while the needle is already inside them. Once the fluid is flowing, it does flow quickly so there's one positive part about this iv set!

Inexpensive and works well

We use these to give our small dog subcutaneous fluids for CKD. Equivalent to what you would get from the vet but much less expensive.

Easy autoship

My cat gets sub Q fluids each day and these IV attachments (along with the solution itself) can be shipped each month for FAR less than the cost at the vets office

My cat gets sub Q fluids each day and these IV attachments (along with the solution itself) can be shipped each month for FAR less than the cost at the vets office. I do however think the 2 items (solution and IV attachment) should be sold together as a set as you can't use the bag without this attachment

Quality set

My dog has kidney disease and has to have subcutaneous fluids once per week. It delivers the Lactated Ringers quickly. Chewy was great to deliver the sets to me

Kinks too easily

This is frustratingly soft. The pinch points from the two locks (and any bend that happens) stick really bad and it prevents or limits the flow of the fluids.

I like that it locks the needle so that it doesn’t come off unless you unscrew it. It is more secure that way. I like its value/price, it is good quality, and easy
