Worked for My Cats, but might have to find something else
I wish Chewy had a half star option and a rating system that allowed customers to rate based on different criteria. For example: if I could I would give the overall product 3 1/2 stars for serving it's purpose. Thus far my cat hasn't gotten more crystals (I also add water to the food). I would give 2 stars for product consistency because every so often my cats will suddenly reject a new case here and there. The contents of the large 5oz cans look drastically different in texture (like syrup) it's supposed to be the same exact thing as the small 3oz cans but my cats won't touch it as if it's a completely different product. I would rate the price 1/2 star. Look I get it...there's a pet product shortage so company's are charging more and therefore the websites selling these products are charging their customers more, but in January this product was $28. Last month it was $32 and now $33. I'm going to talk to my vet next week about slowly moving my cats to a different food or possibly homemade. I can't afford to pay if the prices keep going up. I mean what is the point of getting this if it's nearing prescription food prices?
Saved my Boys!
One of my Boys developed bladder stones. After very spendy surgery, it was discussed what kind of food to put them BOTH on. Purina Proplan Urinary was chosen. BOTH my Boys love it and not a speck of food is left after supper! Great low ingredient formula, The Boys LOVE it! It's their food for life!
Cats won't eat this
I bought this for my 2 neutered 1yr old cats that are coming off kitten food. One prefers Purina Pro dry and they both enjoyed Purina pro canned kitten food. They looked puzzled and one picked at it while the other walked away. I mixed the order up with the kitten canned food but eventually they both ended up walking away untouched after the sixth can. They just don't like it.
Two Paws Up!
Bear likes this food, and I like the ingredients so win win! While he usually prefers a pate, this food has pretty finely ground chunks he can handle in his 17 y.o. age. It's nice and moist even without with the splash of water I add to it. This will be my new regular food for him.
This urinary track wet cat food is what I feed my 2 male cats while both structure urinary crystals. Since I started using this food about 4 months ago, my older cat no longer has crystals. What a relief
My cats have been eating Pro Plan Urinary for about five years and this was their favorite. It seems the product has changed in some way and now it gives them diarrhea! They must stay on urinary food, but this one will have to be removed from rotation. I wish they would notify customers when they change a formula.
Aspen does not like
The reviews were great on this product, my cat who as unitary track issues didn't enjoy this food. He wouldn't even eat it. I will stick with Royal Cannon his fave
Didn't like the taste
I really thought my male cat Jojo would like this brand. But he liked the Prescription diet brand the Vet prescribe with a few cans. I am trying to give my other cat Bella with no issues, but she's smart and wouldn't eat either. I would not recommend it.
I've been ordering this food for years, but suddenly my cat won't have anything to do with it. I have some of the larger cans of this same food from a few orders ago and she's eating that without hesitation. Unsure if there is a recipe change, but I will say the small cans definitely have very little to no gravy at all. So if your pet prefers gravy, the larger can is better.
Purina Pro Plan
My 10 year old male cat Lucky had extensive expensive surgery for a urinary blockage. So happy he was saved! He now had to be on a special diet for the rest of his life. So the vet put him on Royal Canin urinary SO which needs a prescription. He really didn’t like it but got used to it because that’s all he could eat. After about 4 years on this VERY expensive/plus vet visits to renew prescription yearly I asked new vet for some more food choices. Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract wet/dry food was suggested. Lucky was so happy to get a new choice of food. He gets wet in morning and dry food at night. He is going on 17 and doing well with keeping the urinary crystals away. I recommend Purina food highly for cats with urinary problems. And Chewy has been great!!
