Pets can be sensitive to sudden changes in their diets. For this reason, it is extremely important to follow a gradual transition plan to best support your pet's health and product effectiveness. It is recommended to follow at least a 7-day transition plan before exclusively feeding your pet a new food. Cats will often refuse mixed diets, so we recommend adding the new food to a separate bowl from the old food. Start by mixing 75% of your pet's current diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the current diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the current diet with 75% of the new diet. On Day 7, you can feed your pet the new food exclusively. Ask your Veterinarian about the best way to transition your pet to a new food.
Transition Day | Current Diet | New Diet |
---|---|---|
Days 1-2 | 75% | 25% |
Days 3-4 | 50% | 50% |
Days 5-6 | 25% | 75% |
Day 7 | 0% | 100% |

Chewy did an awesome job contacting my vet to get the new prescription cat food.
Have a Bengal with digestive issues. Have tried Science Diet and Royal Canin for sensitive stomachs. The Pro Plan my cat continually eats and looks forward to it. Science Diet and Royal Canin she would not eat after 2 days.
But doesn’t like the meat chunks. So I have to blend it. He finishes it all off this way. 5 stars for making something that my picky eater loves.
My vet prescribed this cat food for my 15 year old cat that has hypothyroidism and was vomiting on a regular basis. She is solely eating this cat food daily and the only time she vomits now is when she is expelling hair balls, which is a giant step up for her. She is doing much better, and I think she'll get a few more happy years to live, along with her thyroid meds.
Tazi sort of likes this food, but it is not a favorite. She licks the gravy and leaves the rather large chunks. I tried using an immersion blender to make a "soup" and she reluctantly ate it. I really struggle to find the variety of food required to keep a cat with multiple issues eating (CKD, IBD, Pancreatitis) so I was hopeful. It's not a huge win, but it helps for now.
My 16year old ragdoll was on Urinary SO for the last few years but suddenly stopped eating in December 2022. I had to rush him to the vet and they switched him to this. He loves the gravy kind and not the other version of canned food. I am slowly switching his dry food as well to EN dry. Thank you.
Vet recommended this prescription food for my FeLV positive foster kitten (9 months old) who was throwing up about once a week on regular wet food. He loves it and so far it is helping him go longer and longer between incidents.
I'm so glad this product was recommended by my vet for our cat who was suffering with severe "pancake" diarrhea . I was worried he wouldn't eat it. He took to it immediately. It's much juicier than expected, and not chunky. My cat loves it. HIs GI track has calmed down, and doing vey well. We also give him he dry food version of this product too! The shipping and delivery was very quick and efficient.
Our "Mike" who is 13 was having a lot of trouble eating regular cat food. He would eat and almost immediately throw up. Our vet recommended this food and it did help for a while. Unfortunately a sonagram this morning showed a large mass in his stomach and the outlook is not good. Thank you for making his last days a bit more comfortable.
My sensitive stomach cat loved the flavor of both these foods (he is picky) but got diarrhea and nausea. Throwing it out now.
