Not bad

My dog had bladder stones and had to have surgery to remove them. Her first bag was Royal Canin, then we switched to this simply for it's cheaper. The food doesn't smell pleasant, but she has no problem eating it! We add about a half cup of water to her serving. We add water to all our dogs dry kibble for the lack of moisture. So far, it has been working. This is her 4th bag.

Dog struggles with prescription diet

My dog, Leceigh, recently had bladder surgery in which several stones were removed. The vet says she has to be on a urinary tract specific prescription diet the rest of her life. It has been a daily struggle to get her to consistently eat this food. She simple doesn't like it. I feed her in the morning but I'm still struggling with her to eat it by 8 or 9 at night. What will I do when I have to go away and she is with the dog sitter?

fast service

I bought this food for my female dog that gets urinary tract infections (on the advice of a vet) a couple of times a year. She's only been on it a couple of weeks but seems to like it. The kernels are bigger than what she is used to so I water it down a bit to soften it. It remains to be seen how it will help but I do give Chewy 5 stars always for fast service.

WOW!!!

Chewy beats my auto ship with Purina Direct. My order was late, so I placed this order with Chewy and received it the next day. My dog likes the taste of this prescription food but I will only buy with Chewy.

My Dog LOVES this food!

I bought the wet food and mix the two, and my dog can't get enough! She is pretty picky, so it's a win for us! Not sure it's done anything for the crystals yet, but I'm hopeful!

Average Prescription Diet

Decent reviews, quick shipping but my dog hasn't really taken to the transition. Hopefully in time she will eat it with no problems or additives. I haven't had her on it long enough to tell if it's working.

Great customer service

I am a brand-new chewy customer. Our little 2 1/2-year-old dog has already had bladder stone surgery and requires special food. It's too soon to tell how his new food will work but I can't say enough about the wonderful customer service. I had several questions which were answered kindly and without feeling rushed. Our pup also received a get-well card and a darling toy, which he loves. Thank you Chewy.

Coco Loves It!

Coco is enjoying the taste of the Pro Plan Veterinary Diet - UR. She turned her nose up at the first one (different brand) I bought but she can't wait to eat this one. Thanks!

This dog that I have on it isn't as picky of an eater as Barkley was. Barkley didn't like it. Bella, she gobbles it down.

Wow love it

When our dog got diagnosed with kidney crystals, our vet suggested trying and rx diet. Our vet does not push any specific brand, but recommended some names. so we got home and researched. Unfortunately, of the four or five brands readily available to us, all are formulated using chicken. We had spent the previous months eliminating chicken from the diet of our dog, finally settling for Pro Plan Sensitive Stomach Salmon and Rice kibble. Our dog did wonderfully on that food. No more digestive issues and perfect poops every time. You can imagine my distress at the prospect of having to feed chicken again. We first tried Royal Canin Urinary SO, which definitely helped dissolve the crystals. Hurray. Unfortunately, the bad poops were back. Sad face. Probiotics, pumpkin, supplements. None of that worked. Thankfully I decided to give this food a try. It’s night and day now for our dog. Still not as perfect as the salmon food, but very close. I never thought I’d care this much about poop, yet here I am. I don’t know what the difference is in the way this is formulated or the chicken is processed, but I did find this food was more dry, less oily than the royal canin. So maybe it’s something related to that. If you are suspicious your dog is sensitive to chicken and you find yourself having to make the same health choices I made, give this a try.
