How much should you feed per day per fish? (I have a 6-inch comet so I’m wondering how long the 3oz jar will last).
Answer by ChewyApr 05, 2022
How much you can feed depends as much or more on the environment as it does on the fish you're feeding. For example, if you have a large aquarium, good bio filtration, and low fish density, you can overfeed quite a bit because the system can absorb the waste without issue. Small tank, high fish density, poor filtration, and you need to feed sparingly. In a perfect situation, with a well designed system, you can feed them an amount that they can graze on for several hours before it's gone. In a poor situation, you shouldn't feed them more than they can consume in a few minutes.

Could this be used as a long term vacation feeder?
Answer by ChewyOct 28, 2021
Once made, the gel should be treated as fresh food and can be vented and stored in refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freezer for up to six months.

Can this be fed to betta?

Not for my Goldie

The food itself is fine and the ingredients are good. The consistency even came out well because I took some tips from their website. However, my comet goldfish, Goldie, didn't like it. He doesn't like the taste and you know that goldfish aren't usually picky! He seemed to not be interested in the smell, but ate one piece eventually. However, he had a hard time chewing it and refused to eat anymore besides that. So now I have a whole container of the stuff just sitting around my freezer. Sticking to Omega One and Hikari I guess. Another thing is that the bottle arrived dented / squished at the top, but not to the point of puncture. Probably Fedex's doing though. So yeah, now I don't know what to do with this and it was pretty expensive :(

Best Goldfish Food!

My fancy goldfish have adapted well to this food. In just a week of feeding their colors have really improved. Also the sinking nature of the food has solved their buoyancy problems after feeding. If you want bright, saturated colors in your fish and bigger wens, this is the food to do it!

repashy supergold gel

My fish loves this food! He’s a common goldfish, so he tends to love anything I give him, but he has been looking extra bright and healthy since adding repashy gel to his diet about a month ago. I’m still mastering the preparation and amount to feed since I’m new to gel foods. I might be adding too much water during prep and/or over feeding as I have noticed a very slight green tint to my water after feeding. But the tank clears up throughout the day and my filters (hang on back and sponge filter) seem to be handling it well; and this hasn’t caused any issues in my water parameters with regular tank maintenance.

Fish food you have to prepare prior to feeding

I was not expecting to have to prepare this to feed the fish and store in the refrigerator until it is used up. I understand it is healthy for them.

They love it!

My fancy goldfish love this stuff and I am so glad to see Chewy has started to carry it!!! Much better for them than feeding pellet or flake food.
