My picky Chocolate Lab

I have a 5 year old Chocolate lab that has been gaining weight so switched her from the regular lab royal canin to this senior one. She won’t eat it. I even mix other food into it and she picks around it leaving every single of the senior pebble and nothing else.

Best dog food around for your "senior" lab

Apparently " senior" is more like 5-years old now, which is okay I guess...I have a super active purebred lab that likes to hike, probably averaging 30 miles / week. He's had no health issues and been on Royal Canin his whole life switching from puppy to adult, and now mixing in this 5+ year food for a month until he adjusts to the 5+ food alone. So far no issues and I won't expect any...our old dog was on Royal Canin and this one has been as well, I think it's the best dog food company around based on their history.

"All for Remington..."

Our 9.5-year-old Lab has had food allergy issues since birth. Finally, Our Vet suggested a "Specialty" food from Royal Canin. I think that it was "Ultamin". Royal Canin finally solved that issue 4-5 years ago. Since then, we have progressed up to the 5+ Variety. Fast forward to know. She is doing great. And the Service from Chewy makes Her (and Us) quite happy.

Happy Lab!

Much easier on our Lab’s stomach as he needs less fat.

Amazing Tailored Nutrion for Senior Lab!

This product has done wonders for my senior Lab! It's high protein and low calorie which is perfect for my Lab, Sophie, as she has always struggled with maintaining her weight and feeling full. With this kibble shape, she actually has too slow down and chew her kibble without gulping. Sophie loves that she can eat slightly more volume with this kibble and been better about digging in the trash and stealing things to eat. It's also been helping her sensitive skin and improving her coat quality. Her arthritis and daily activity levels have been maintained better on this food than a different senior food I previously tried. Overall, this food provides excellent nutrition that is backed by science and tailored to the needs of my senior Labrador. I highly recommend!

chicken by product

The first ingredient is chicken by product! That is a huge red flag. This is expensive in price and VERY cheap in ingredients. You can spend the same amount on food that has better ingredients. Gave my dog horrible pyoderma and goopy eyes. So glad we found out this was the culprit.

Love the kibble size

My black lab has been eating this food for a couple months now and his coat is so shiny. He loves his food and I do like the size of the kibbles because obligates him to chew more.
