What wet food best for my little puppy?

Is this food currently being vacuum-sealed to retain freshness?

While none of the bags are truly vacuum sealed, the bags can have this appearance from time to time due to their manufacturing process. These bags are flushed with nitrogen to eliminate oxygen within the bags, as oxygen breaks down their natural preservatives and can cause the food to go stale. If the kibble is still warm when the nitrogen is flushed into the bag, the heat from the kibble can cause the packaging to shrink down around the kibble, giving off a vacuum-sealed appearance. There is nothing harmful about this, it's just a normal, harmless anomaly that we can sometimes see. Micro-tears are not an intentional ventilation feature on Royal Canin bags. Due to the nitrogen flushing, micro-tears allow oxygen back into the bag and to the kibble which can lead to the product going stale or spoiling. It is not recommend feeding from bags that have been compromised.

How many cups of kibble are in each 30lb bag?

There will be approximately 4 cups of kibble per pound. The 5.5 pound bag will have close to 22 cups, the 17 pound bag close to 68 cups and the 30 pound bag close to 120 cups.

Why is this advertised as pea free when there’s pea fiber in the ingredients?

This formula states that it is pea-free because it does not contain pea protein.

Better than Purina Pro Plan

We love this food in so many ways, and of course so do our 2 rescues! We bought Royal Canin after reading a vet's recommendation for a food that is more completely

We love this food in so many ways, and of course so do our 2 rescues! We bought Royal Canin after reading a vet's recommendation for a food that is more completely digested by dogs. While receiving the same amount of food as when they ate Purina Pro Plan, their poop is at most half as much as it was. This had been consistent over the 2 months they've been on this food. Other benefits are that it is not crumby and has a milder smell. Worth the extra cost!

My rough collie loves this food and stays healthy on it. I feed the matching canned food with it. I fed this to my last collie for many years. They stay healthy

Dog became so sick

I never would even think to review dog food but am compelled to because of what happened to our dog on this food. Our little dog got so sick from it. After a month

I never would even think to review dog food but am compelled to because of what happened to our dog on this food. Our little dog got so sick from it. After a month of being on this food she starting having a difficult time moving and was in such pain in her joints and tummy. She would yelp after moving for any extended period. After a week of that we were recommended to switch her dog food, within two days of switching she was way better and recovering. Wouldn't recommend this food to any dog with sensitive tummies, was a horrible experience for her and us.
