  • Chewy Customer Service

Bravo to Chewy for taking my customer service call providing excellent support for a past shipment that was packed by Royal Canin. They honored a new case of food at no extra cost. They will also let Royal Canin know that the cans within their shipped case were terribly bent. As in almost in half. Meaning Royal Canin sent it thru Chewy that way. Customer Service was excellent and their shipping time is remarkable. Expensive vet presecibed dietary canned dog food cheaper than anywhere else. Thank you Chewy for your service and great pricing. Mango thanks you too!

The food works great for pup that that is not only a fussy eater-- but has a fussy stomach to match! Getting a food he will eat that he can tolerate has been a challenge. That said-- I do mix this with Hill's prescription low-fat I/B. He wouldn't eat the Hill's by itself, even though he does better on it. The Royal Canine is still a bit 'rich' for him by itself--but he likes it better. SO we hit a happy medium by mixing them together. My big shout out is to Chewy--who helped me through several flustering issues including a FedEx issue. They are wonderful to work with-- AND A PERSON ANSWERS THE PHONE!! Every time! • I love Chewy!

I love Chewy! My older lab, Maggie, just recently did a stint at UC Davis for severe pneumonia and secondary pancreatitis. She was given a trial subscription of this stuff, which she loves. I was excited to see that Chewy.com sells the same stuff because I wasn't looking forward to having to go to my local vet every few weeks to buy more dog food. This stuff is great for dogs with GI issues and is low in fat, so it will help prevent another episode of pancreatitis. The price is much cheaper on Chewy.com and the convenience is awesome. Thank you Chewy for helping Maggie stay healthy!

  • What a difference!

Our vet changed our 6lb chihuahua to RC low fat prescription. He was having tummy trouble and a couple times a week he would just stay in bed and not want to eat (blue buffalo). I could hear his tummy gurgling from across the room. This was a seriously hard decision for me because the ingredients in RC go against what I believe is healthy, but the difference it has made in how he feels, his energy and just over all is incredible. In addition, The customer service at Chewy is the best I’ve received in a long time! When I placed my initial order, I ordered both can and dry kibble, as I received both as samples from my vet. Great customer service. Since this food requires a vet prescription (yes, I know, it's ridiculous that you need a prescription for dang dog food) but Chewy staff provided excellent service by contacting me to let me know they were having trouble receiving the vet approval. I called the vet's office and gave them a piece of my mind. Our long time vet had retired and the young vet's receptionist that has taken over the vet services had told Chewy our dog was not on file with their clinic. The issue was resolved and the prescription approved and no I did not accept the new vet's offer to match Chewy's price unless they were willing to deliver the food to my door like Chewy does! • Be careful and sure this is the product your pet will eat.

    By on

Our Vet recommended the Royal Canin dog food. Our dog tried the first can and did eat most of it. The second car didn't go as well. But he did finish it. I then ordered two cases from chewy and what a disaster. He hasn't touched at all. I was told he would eat "when he was hungry". After five days of him not eating a t all I gave in and went back to his old diet. Any one want a case and a half of this food? No one's fault but my own. At that price I was sure he would enjoy, but no.

  • Even finicky eaters love it!

I switched my 15 lb Chihuahua-mix, Linus, to Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Low Fat dog food at his vet's suggestion. Linus was having some very serious health issues possibly involving his gallbladder and/or liver so needed a low-fat diet. We switched Linus to this food with no issues at all. I believe this food along with some medications he's been on, have improved his health tremendously.

  • Special diet loved and cheaper too!

    By on

My 18 month old lab had a nonspecific case of colitis and needed to go on a specific diet. Although he’s a lab and will eat almost anything, he still loves Royal Canin despite recovering. He will be on this brand long term, so I priced it out between my vet and Chewy. Chewy will save me $12 for every 24 cans ordered. It’s a no brainer , especially with Chewy's incredible customer service and fast and free delivery.

  • Expensive food, helps with finicky stomachs.

    By on

While irritatingly expensive, this has helped my baby with his finicky stomach a lot. He's not vomiting anymore and his bowel movements are very regular and healthy looking. It also keeps his weight in check, being it is low fat. If you have an animal with a sensitive stomach I would highly recommend this. But as with anything, keep in mind things can be good for one while not helping another. For my dog it works. I have a 14yr old black lab who weighs 98 lbs.
