I have a little cairn terrier named Eddie. I love the little guy. He was vomiting often and had loose stools. I took Eddie to the Vet and his tests results were for pancreatitis. The Vet said Eddie should be restricted to a low fat diet and recommended Royal Canin Low Fat dog food. It has worked. Eddie is doing very well now, and best of all he loves this food. I mean really loves it. This dog food requires a prescription and I was getting it from my Vet, but a few weeks ago they were out and I was stuck. Ordered it from Chewy.com. They verified the Rx from the Vet and all is well again. Fair pricing and very fast shipping. • Great Dog Food

We started using this dog food a year ago when our dog was having some stomach issues--mostly she was eating food she wasn't supposed to eat. I don't know what's in this stuff, but our dog goes absolutely crazy waiting while we dish it up. We feed her one can a day, divided for breakfast and supper, and we mix it with 1/2 cup of her dry dog food each time. She's a 10-year old beagle/lab/pointer mix and since being on the Royal Canin canned food, she has been the healthiest and most playful she has been in years. The vet, at her checkup this summer, commented that our dog certainly did not look or act her age. I attribute this completely to the Royal Canin dog food. I would much rather pay for this dog food than trips to the vet! … more

  • True life saver.

My fur baby was diagnosed with Protein Loss Enteropathy and hospitalized for days, this food has been the only thing he has been able to eat and he is thriving.. He inhales this stuff! The disease is life-long, unfortunately, but it is good to know that this food will help him feel as good as possible. The autoship is great, although I really wish a 3 week option was available.. Or Every 24 days, that way we wouldn't be short food or receive too much food.

Chulo is a picky eater and his Doctor Vara at Banfield pet hospital wants him on this food but Chulo has other ideas. This is a wonderful food but Chulo is so spoiled because when I thought he was dying I let him have whatever he wanted so I created the bad habit and now has a fit, barks and gives me the evil eye like is this it for dinner?I tell him you are not dying and this is good for you!

  • Worth the $$!

This food is great. My boxer absolutely loved this stuff. Due to his sensitivity to so many other brands, he would get sick or not want to eat. He inhales this food, and the smell of it isn't so bad, like beefy smell, and if anyone has gassy pets, especially with canned food, the gas smell is much tamer than with most other foods.

  • This food really helps keep my poodles' gastrointestinal issues under control.

    By on

When I could not get my dogs' prescription Royal Canin foods at my local vet office, I started to panic as my poodles have very sensitive stomachs and Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Low Fat LF Canned Dog Food really helps keep my poodles' gastrointestinal issues under control. And it is a lot easier than having to boil chicken for their low fat diet. I went on Chewy.com ordered it and received it within 2 days. I will NEVER WORRY about running out of their special prescription Royal Canin diet again. I have really enjoyed using Chewy.com. They are really efficient and reasonably priced. I have become a regular Chewy.com customer and would highly recommend it to other pet lovers.

  • Special Food for a Special Dog

    By on

Our dog, Mercury, has been on special prescription dog food for about 4 years. He had bloat several years ago which required surgery and ever since has been on special food. After a while he got tired of the original food and our vet prescribed Royal Canin. Mercury seems to be tolerating this food well although he's still a picky eater and would prefer steak...but who wouldn't?

  • royal canin prescription dog food

My dog has been on this food for years. The vet couldn't get my supply in time for me, so I ordered through chewy. It came fast and was perfect. I did the monthly reorder and the second one came and 12 of the cans were dented. I didn't want my dog to get sick and could get a case from the vet at that time. I sure it was a shipping issue. But at least I could get the food he needed. He also loves the treats! Hopefully the next shipment won't be damaged!

  • Sensitive tummy

My vet used this food following a major surgery....my dogs are now hooked...2 of the 3 dogs have sensitive stomach issues and this food has helped with that. It is also great for giving meds instead of using cheese or lunch meat or peanut butter!
