To use this file, simply file in the same direction as the nail's contour. It is recommended that you do not file the nail in the opposite direction of the natural contour. It's essential to avoid filing in the opposite direction to prevent any damage or discomfort to your dog. Gloria unfortunately has paws that the quick is almost to the length of the nail. The vet assistant war frazzled when she attempted to cut her nails, and she didn't finish the job... I wanted to find a safer way to cut her nails and i found this file on Chewy. It's a little time consuming, but Gloria is so much happier. . She doesn't mind offering her paw I file it and then clip the very end of the nail and i don't touch the quick.

I have a black Labrador. She’s about 9 years old. Her nails can grow pretty thick, so I like to keep the trimmed and filed into a comfortable shape for her. This

I have a black Labrador. She’s about 9 years old. Her nails can grow pretty thick, so I like to keep the trimmed and filed into a comfortable shape for her. This was used with a nail clipper I also bought from the website. It’s a black and yellow, very good. Both together was the best 20 dollars I have spent to keep her nails clean and trimmed often. She also seems to be okay with the process and of course treats help lol

Excellent must have item Ordered this specifically because my dog (who's 100 pounds) had his dew claws which were very overgrown... Honestly we just forget about them during his weekly nail trim sessions... We tried everything and just couldn't manage to clip these nails because it grew almost back into the skin! I didnt have much faith it was this as a last resort or a vet price gouge visit. We ended up using a tint piece of the cardboard to stick under the nail, and shave down just enough to clip these nails. This product got over and under the nail in no time. Very well made, durable and works quick. 5 stars all the way! The way the file contours is a huge plus as well especially with my dogs tiger claws. Highly recommend this file!

I had no idea it was possible to immediately love a nail file. I've used people files in the past on the girls, but this one is so much better. Within a few strokes,

I had no idea it was possible to immediately love a nail file. I've used people files in the past on the girls, but this one is so much better. Within a few strokes, it dulled nail edges on a pup here with very thick nails. I hope it lasts a while. Both sides have the filing material on them, though the contour of one side makes it easier to use. The only thing I wish (and I say this with almost all grooming products) is that the handle was a bit smaller for those of us with tiny hands. Very pleased and would definitely buy this again.
