There's no way I'm going to go through a gallon in 48hrs- would be nice if they made it in smaller portions or gave guidance to break it up. They should really change the manufacture date (with a comment to use within 24 months) to an actual expiration date because it has confused a lot of people. Not sure how it works yet but I'm sure it will work fine.
The product says that it is good for two years from the date of manufacture. Chewy sent me packets made on 5/10/21. I only ordered this because the packets I had at home were close to expiring, but ended up using what I already had.
This works well and the chicks seemed to enjoy drinking it quite a bit! I did the traditional Dipping of the Beaks and once they figured out where to go, they were unstoppable. They recovered quickly from their long car trip and the stress of being picked up and boxed at the feed store and are now in Ugly Teenager Phase.
These arrived two years expired. I would rather get them from my local feed store. It's really not safe to give products like these when they are expired.
My bantams fight with coccidia is never ending. Despite corid with or without natural remedies the strains get more aggressive during reinfections. This saved my remaining 4 bantam hens and bought them enough time for recovery. I stock up and they love it so much that they empty the water jug 5 times begging for more.
No complaints on this product. It's excalty what I expected and needed for my new chicks.
A must for new chicks and when it gets scorching hot.
My oldest hen was struggling hard in the July heat & these electrolytes in her waterer along with a frozen jug of water to cuddle up to probably saved her life.
