Yes, this item is made of slightly thicker tissue paper. Therefore no, it will not last super long. However, if you have older cats or cats who aren't interested in traditional toys, this grass makes a great enrichment tool. My two love to lay on it, and the rustling noise will spur them to chase each other when I first put it out. Other ideas: Place it on the ground near a window or fan, and the breeze will make the blades of grass blow in the breeze. Drag wand toys or other dangly toys through the grass. Cats use their ears almost more than their eyes when hunting and will probably get excited by the rustling noise. This probably isn't a good toy for kittens or very rambunctious cats, as they will tear it up pretty quickly. But if your cats are sedentary or seem bored, this is a great way to add some variety to their environment. I also put out regular tissue paper for my cats sometimes, but they do seem to prefer this. And as with all toys, supervise while they use. Bits of grass will start to come off after a couple of uses, but to me it's certainly not any worse than tracking litter around the house. You can just see this more because it's bright green. Overall it's a great toy for the right cats.
It was stuck together and I could not open it at all as it tore as I tried to “unstick” it. I would like to have another one sent to me to try again.
That’s the second time I buy this toy because my cat loves it so much, however it is very messy and does not last long. Depending on how hard your cat likes to play it will not last more that a few hours
Cool idea, but not really useful. thing tears apart when attempting to set up. Waste of time.
