I’ve had mine for about 8 months and it’s lost its stiffness from the folding and from one of the cats laying in top of it. Is there anyway to regain the integrity of the structure? Even with reinforced ends, the center with cave in.

Answer by ChewyMay 02, 2019
Cat oils and fur left on carpet fibers may soften the carpet. Simply vacuuming (to remove fur and other pet dander), then washing the rug with soap and water to remove fur oils followed by hanging straight/flat to dry will help to bring much of the original springiness back.

Is it machine washable?

Answer by ChewyOct 25, 2022
This play mat should be cleaned using a sticky roller or vacuum to remove fur. If needed, use soap and water to remove stains. Rinse using a garden hose. Hang flat to dry. Do not tumble dry.

Would an adult cat like this or is it more for kitties?

Answer by ChewyOct 09, 2019
This mat is suitable for cats of all sizes and ages. There are 14 holes ranging from 2 inches to 7 inches. The medium to large holes have expansion slits allowing cats to pass through or pop their heads out. The small holes are meant for paws to poke through. The safety slits can be elongated about an additional inch, making them 2 inches long total. The holes can be made larger or even interconnected if need be.

Can this be torn apart? My cat seems to like chewing on it and I’m afraid he’s gonna eat it

Answer by ChewyOct 09, 2019
This rug is made with a non-fray material that will stand up to scratching and playing.

Seems to be a hit for the kitty, but has a flaw . She likes to find the toys hidden inside and it’s especially awesome when I’m playing with her dangling string toys and I drop the toy in and out of the holes. She also cuddles up on it. I would give it five stars but like other reviews, the Velcro wasn’t well thought out. You need to buy one sided Velcro tape to cover up Velcro on inner portions of the mat otherwise it will be too flat. I don’t appreciate having to put effort into or to shell out more money to fix such a pricey item.

It is a great idea, very well made and I am sure durable, but only holds her interest somewhat. But this is my cat only, they’re all different! What she walks away from, some might go bananas over. I change the pattern every other day so she doesn’t get bored, throw treats and toys in it for her to ferret out. She’ll pop in and out of it and sometimes plays, sometimes just chills in it. Company seems like a super decent one that helps animals in need, so I’m glad to have given them my business. If my little girl shows no greater interest in it in another month, I’ll donate it to a local no kill shelter, there are so many. I’ll never complain about the price tag on things too much (within the limits of reason and sanity lol), because you can always donate. It was worth the try for a well thought out and executed idea!

I got this when I first brought my kitten home and she has loved it from the start. It serves as her play mat, hiding spot, and napping nook. We often rotate toys and cat furniture, but this is a permanent piece in the living area. We’ve had it for about four months now and it has held up relatively well. I’ve washed it a couple of times without any issues. I will note that the time between irons (to keep the rug stiffer) does shorten as time goes on (even with the same or lesser frequency of use) but my kitten and I don’t mind too much. If I have to iron the entire top piece, it does take some time, maybe ~30 minutes following the instructions provided. Overall, I would recommend this to any cat parent!

I saw the great reviews on this play mat, still had my doubts ($46 for this?!), bought it anyway. Our cats LOVE this thing! It is true that you frequently need to set up the top rug again because it becomes smooshed as they play, but honestly our cats don't even care, they just sleep on it then. It is well made, the bottom rug adheres to our vinyl floor so it's not sliding all over (but is easily moveable), and I appreciate the tasteful 'Oatmeal White' color. Highly recommend, countless hours of enrichment fun! To make it even more fun, set up the play mat so they can watch Cat TV :)

My cat LOVES this ripple rug! It was a Christmas present for my kitty and she has not gone a single day not inside the rug since it was opened. It's super fun because I can change the shape regularly and keep it interesting, and she loves to scratch on the material. I like that the big holes have notches because she loves jumping through them. My cat is very energetic and it's been great to play with her through the holes but she can also keep herself occupied in the rug.

On the one hand my cat loves this. On the other hand the felt does not remain taut for long so I'm always having to readjust so that she can have the caves. It gets old because the tautness disappears with one pounce or minimal movement. I've had this for two week and this was the case right out of the package. My cat does like the felt to bite and scratch her claws, and to sleep on (must be warming), so there's that.

My very active cat loves this ripple rug! She likes to bat toys from inside it and hide within the folds when chased around! She can easily jump in and out of the holes, as well as stick her paws through. She has not gotten tired of it and uses it every day. My only complaint is that the ripple rug lost its stiffness a few weeks in, which makes it difficult to fold it into shapes she can play and hide in. However, she still loves laying on it and going underneath it when she can.

Thought my cat would love this since he dives under rugs, but he hasn't taken to it like I thought he would. There's a lot of Velcro and it tends to flatten the whole thing out. I had some Velcro on hand that I cut into pieces and placed over some of the spots. That helped somewhat to provide more openings. I'm still working on getting him interested in it. He's a weirdo. Loved seeing all the pics of other kitties enjoying it :)

My kitties LOVE their ripple rug and were instantly interested. They love to jump through the holes, hide out and pounce at wand toys and ribbons. It's a hit! I don't see them playing independently often, but they do like to hang out in it. They seem to enjoy it best when I'm participating and they can stalk/hunt their various toys. It's easy to clean and I think they'll enjoy it for a long time. It's fun for me too because watching their heads/paws poke through the holes is adorable.

100% win! A high-quality, engaging toy! Bert and Chips played with it immediately! And continue to play with it every day! They are ample sized:) boys (15 lbs and 17 lbs) and they can fully enjoy it! They love hunting for their small toys or even balled up pieces of paper in it. Being able to recreate different ripples keeps it interesting for them too. What's also great is overall they play on their own with it - without requiring us to help make the fun happen. Just occasionally popping in different toys for them. And it keeps them moving! The safety slits in the holes are super. The slits provide some wiggle room if they poke their head through, etc. One safety recommendation for users - put the ripple piece (the piece with the holes) away when you're not around. Can leave the bottom piece (mat) out. Given ours are large cats, they have sometimes gotten stuck (their body) midway through the largest hole. They don't try to go through a hole (all the way) often but we put the ripple part away when we go to bed or are not home to be on the safe side. Hope your cat(s) enjoys this engaging toy as much as ours do!
