Fun and great exercise for dogs - also great for training

My 2 pit bull/Australian shepherd girls LOVE this! Both of them grab the lure at the same time and run around me in circles, then play tug-of-war with each other

My 2 pit bull/Australian shepherd girls LOVE this! Both of them grab the lure at the same time and run around me in circles, then play tug-of-war with each other. Used this to teach 'drop it' and 'leave it' commands. Great exercise for them with little exertion from me (age 72), satisfies the prey drive/hunt instinct.

This toy is great, my dog loves playing with it and it is definitely great quality. The rope attached to the pole is stretchy which I really like and it has a lot of line for your dog to chase the toy. Also the toy itself is really thick which I like. Definitely recommend!

This is a great concept, but the bungee cord is dangerous. Early in trialing it the bungee cord snapped back and hit our puppy in the face. She is now terrified and runs when it comes out. We tried it with our other dog and the bungee cord snapped back and hit me in the eye and left me with a bruise.

I have made several home-made versions of this and bought this one recently. It is without question my 8 month old boxer’s favorite toy. She never gets bored with it. The issue is with the “elastic” rope they use. If it’s fully extended and your dog lets go of the lure it can fly back and hit you (ask me how I know). Even worse is if you let go it could send the pvc pole flying towards your dog. This is exactly what happened tonight. My dog had chewed through the strap attached to the handle so it was not functional. My dog caught the lure stretches the rope to its fullest and the pole slipped from my hand sending it into my dogs front leg. My fault I’ll definitely replace this with another one. I got lucky. The leg was not broken. Lesson learned. Always use the hand strap and if it becomes compromised, replace the toy.

Dog goes bonkers for it

It's absolutely hilarious watching my 90lb dog leap after what reminds me of an oversized cat wand. This is one of his favorite toys. It has held up fairly well

It's absolutely hilarious watching my 90lb dog leap after what reminds me of an oversized cat wand. This is one of his favorite toys. It has held up fairly well with limited use (we use it as a special toy and don't use it often) but the bungee cord down where they grab the toy is starting to fray and I think it's only a matter of time before it snaps off when he catches it. So I have mixed opinions over that, because we haven't used it *that* much and since it is such a large pole I would have assumed it's meant to withstand the strength of a pull when a dog grabs the toy during a leap. We do really like it and it hasn't snapped so far, but I'm worried it could hurt either me or my dog when it finally does.

This is one of the best toys I've ever purchased. My two dogs love it, but my Husky is crazy about it! She wants to play with this everyday. She bugs me until I go get the flirt pole. Its a great way to burn off energy and tire her out. She has a high prey drive and this toy satisfies the need to chase and catch. My other dog likes to jump and snatch it. So far I've found it very durable too. (I'm also happy to see I can eventually get replacement toys when needed.) Both dogs will tug at the toy while I'm also pulling and its held up fine. I really like the durable bungy chord too. When I pull it has a spring action that adds to the fun. So happy I've found this. My husky now is tired after playtime - yea!!!

I first bought this toy about five years ago. I’m now on my fourth. My youngest golden who is two brings it to me every time we go outside so I can play with her. She is too smart though because anytime she catches it she steps on it With her full weight so I can’t get it back! Only reason I didn’t give it. Five stars is because the original had a different material at the tip that the dogs liked much better. We miss it!.

It's made well and the concept seems good but I've had trouble getting dogs to be interested in it, at first contact. With practice I'm sure engaging with it could be shaped and it would become a good system of play and learning but most of the dogs I introduce it to aren't interested. It's made well though and I'm not giving up on it!
