I’ve been feeding my finicky eater your Rabbit patties, and, after showing enthusiasm, she has started turning her nose up to her food & only eating one serving every other day; if i start feeding her these beef bits, must I do the usual transitioning from the rabbit to this?
Answer by ChewyJul 02, 2020
If it is the first time your dog is being introduced to a new protein, it is recommended at least a 3 to 4 day transition to ensure minimal digestive upset. As long as your dog handles transition and rotating proteins well, you should be able to freely rotate through the different protein options after the initial introductory transition.

According to the recommendations on this bag of food, I should feed my dog 3 cups of food per day. How long would this bag last, feeding 3 cups per day?
Answer by ChewyJul 03, 2019
The bag of Stella’s Solutions, like all Stella & Chewy’s products, is packaged by weight. The actual number of cups can vary. On average, this bag contains approximately 10 cups of food. This means, if feeding 3 cups per day, the bag would last just over 3 days.

Is this considered a low calorie food?
Answer by ChewyJul 13, 2021
This recipe contains approximately 50 calories per 1/4 cup. Please consult with your veterinarian to ensure this value is suitable for your pet.

I really need a low fat raw diet. Is this considered low fat? Or is there a low fat version of Stella & Chewys?

Chihuahua sadly won't touch it but likes lamb flavor

My chihuahua has digestive issues so I was really hoping she would eat this but she won't even take the smallest bite. Tried everything. She does normally like beef and loves the Stella and Chewy lamb flavor as well as previously chicken. Maybe it is just the added probiotics. Was gonna try the regular beef. Such a shame as seems like a great product which is why the 3 stars. Probably just my dog, I gave it to a friend with a big dog as they eat everything. Wish dog food companies would do tiny sample packets so we don't have to spend so much on huge bags which this one only came in a larger size.

Lola (Miniature Poodle) loves it

Our poodle loves the regular Stella & Chewy's beef meal mixers. She likes these even more. We use both of them as treats.

Good but bound up

I soak it in water before serving, but my small dog's poops are super hard on this; she moans and is terribly constipated. I added miralax and pumpkin, but it's not helping much - I'll search for a different food. It has great natural ingredients -so I am disappointed it isn't perfect fit.

Hopefully solves digestive issues

I've only used this for a couple weeks now, so the jury is still out, but I'm hoping it'll fix my 3 year old chow mix's chronic anal gland issues. So far he is pooping less often and they seem larger/firmer - both very good things! My two dogs had zero problems transitioning to this food and love it, but my 20 pound dog was throwing up after eating this at first. I suggest soaking in water and cutting the morsels in half for smaller dogs - plus the dog loves the gravy this food makes! If you are sensitive to smells be aware that this food stinks, but the dogs LOVE it!

Solved my new rescues poop problems

My pup has a sensitive stomach and we struggled for nearly two months before getting it under control. We gave probiotics which slowly helped, but after 1 meal of adding these as a topper she magically had solid, healthy, brown poops. She’s been good ever since. I just break up about 3 pieces per meal and she looooves the smell and licks the bowl clean. She barely is interested in her kibble without this stuff in it. Sometimes she just licks up these pieces and leaves the kibble, lol. Make sure there’s plenty of fresh water after eating this! It does make her very thirsty.

Maltipoo not crazy about this food

We have a very picky 9 month old Maltipoo, and she does not care for this food. Can't say that I blame her - it really does not look too appetizing - kind of mushy.

Priced High

1st time purchasing these,if I would have known these were priced so much higher I wouldn't have purchased them from chewy.
