Description

When Destructo-Kitty won't stop clawing furniture or ripping curtains, something's gotta give. Sticky Paws Furniture Strips are a completely safe, humane alternative to declawing; just apply the transparent tape with texture cats can't stand to touch to the object being clawed and Destructo-Kitty will decide it's just more fun to find a bug to chase.

Key Benefits
  • Transparent adhesive training aids that can be used virtually anywhere without leaving sticky residue, easy to apply and remove
  • Ideal for use on screens, furniture, carpets, and any area that has become the focus of your cat's unwanted attention, discourages cats from clawing and pawing
  • Medical-grade adhesive strips apply directly to furnishings and are harmless to cats and furniture when used as directed
  • Helps control inappropriate elimination
  • 2" x 12" strips come in packages of 24
Precautions

Sticky Paws may damage certain surfaces (including wood finishes, painted surfaces, leather, vinyl, microfiber and wallpaper), so always test a small piece of Sticky Paws on an inconspicuous area before applying. Sticky Paws is ineffective on surfaces treated with non-stick and/or stain-repellent products, such as Scotchgard. HAZARDS TO HUMANS: Sticky Paws is not intended for animal or human consumption, and may cause injury or death. If ingestion occurs, seek immediate medical attention.

Instructions
  1. Extend Sticky Paws tape from the roll to equal the required length of coverage, then carefully cut tape with the built-in cutter. Place sticky side of clear adhesive tape onto the desired area and press firmly until completely adhered to the surface.
  2. With Sticky Paws tape in place, carefully crack and peel away remaining layer of white contact paper. The tape adheres to the surface for weeks or months depending upon position of tape and type of surface to which it is applied.
  3. To remove, simply peel off by hand, or gently apply a damp cloth or steam. Replace as needed. Sticky Paws is non-toxic, odorless, and won't leave a sticky residue.

Works well but could be improved on

    By on

The strips do stick to furniture, and so far have deterred my cats (four of varying scratching habits) from damaging my new couch. There are also plenty in the pack, so I feel it's a great value for current and future use. However, the strips don't stick the greatest to the furniture. I don't know if this is to make sure it doesn't damage or become fused to the fabric, but it makes it difficult to apply the strips and make sure they stay put. Bonus, the clear strips aren't very obvious unless you're looking for them. I would purchase these again.

    Didn't stick.

    By on

I wanted these since my kitty decides to use the chair in the spare bedroom instead of the scratching post in the same room. I tried sprays, etc. all which did not work. They would not stick to the chair at all. They stuck to everything but what they were supposed to stick to. Now I am back to square one.

    Great product

    By on

These are great for furniture. My senior female started scratching the corner of my love seat. I haven't seen her paws anywhere near it after attaching one of these. They are clear and you don't notice them.

    Gets the Job Done

    By on

This sticky tape is an easy, cheap and effective way from keeping my 8 month old cat from scratching our furniture. It is very thin so is prone to rip a bit if you aren’t careful but it is a perfect deterrent and gets the job done. My couch is safe!

    Years Of Use

    By on

I have used these for many years through different felines and it works great. I have had, to this point, no scratching period. The only thing is that upon taking it off for what ever reason it did damage my leather and microfiber surfaces. However I will always have cats so I just put new tape on. I have one cat who loves to lick the sticky surface but loves also to chew on plastic bags which I have to be very careful with. I could not live without this product in my household or I should say they could not live without it!!

    Didn't help at all. . .

Unfortunately it did not deter the cats from scratching on the new furniture. Actually they liked it, chewed it and laid on it. :-(

Pretty good for tables, TV stand

    By on

Worked well for keeping the cat from the TV stand and going behind it. Not so well on furniture but using it for hard surfaces.

    Works good

    By on

The Sticky Paws strips work to keep my cat off of the kitchen counter. I placed them along the edges about a foot apart. I also placed the larger sheets (cut into fourths) on the stools. So my cat would come into contact with the sticky sheets on the stools and again on the edges of the counter. I've taken them down (had company come over) one of the strips had a lot of cat air on it. Haven't seen my cat jump up on the counter since I removed the tapes. Will repeat, if he forgets. FYI...I had another cat that would scratch a rocker in the bedroom...I placed the large sheets along the scratching path, and he learned not to scratch there. So, they do work...

    Love this tape!

Ever since I lined the couch and chair with these strips the cats won't even try it. In fact they now scratch their scratching posts like they are supposed too. Great buy works instantly!
