Based on the original price, I honestly thought this was made of metal. I was quite surprised that the actual material is a chintzy plastic! I haven’t used it enough to be sure, but digging through the litter will likely break this scoop. I wish they would make a version that will stand up to use. My fault that o made an assumption based on the price. Live and learn (so I don’t recommend this scoop for this price).
I needed something to address the clumped cat litter slipping through my standard cat box scoop. It's not intended to be the sole scoop (that would be too slow), but it's excellent for gathering smaller soiled pieces. This tool works perfectly after the initial scoop with a regular cat box scoop.
this scoop has tiny holes, real TINY. so it works only on SAND-type of cat litter. good thing is that it captures all the tiny clumps. Helps people with OCD, as we want to make sure it's 101% clean for our babies. NO exception
My cat needed an extra litterbox when she was in isolation after a medical procedure, I use scoopable litter that I flush. I hoped this would be good for letting the small clean bits of litter sift back into the box. Too much clean litter remains in the scoop.
I bought this scoop to get the small pieces of clumping litter that fall through my other scoop. It does this job well. Unfortunately, the reason it can get the small pieces is also the reason it takes a long time to sift the clean litter through, therefore, I still use my other scoop as my primary tool. Also, the point at the end isn't useful and I feel as if it makes the job harder. That being said, I would still recommend this scoop for people who want to get the small pieces and either have patience or are willing to use two different scoops. For reference, I have 1 catto and use Dr. Elsey's Kitten Attract litter in a covered, corner litter box.
Do not buy the scooper. It does not work. The holes in the scooper are too small for the litter to flow through. I through it in the trash where it belonged!
It is a little too small and the point isnt as good as I thought it would be.
It needs more holes to be able to clean the sandbox more easily and quickly
I use walnut litter and this scooper could not handle it. The holes are too small to filter the clean litter through so you end up pulling so much good litter when pulling the waste. The unique shape seems like a great idea but it actually made it much difficult to get the waste on the scooper. The end is too small and I found you just break pee clumps up or move them around or they fall off the end or all 3. Horrible scooper. Immediately bought a different one.
This thing don't even let clean litter fall through. Worst scooper ever
