About This Item

Details

  • Small grain cat litter instantly traps urine odor and prevents its build-up, without using fragrance or artificial scents.
  • Made exclusively from corn and cassava, so you get dry, fast-forming, and firm clumps that stay together while you scoop and clean your litter box.
  • Dust is removed during key points in the production process so litter is virtually dust free—protecting your kitty from respiratory issues and your home from dusty messes.
  • Light colored litter makes it easier to keep your litter box tidy and spot differences in your cat's urine.
  • Purr-fect for multi-cat homes.

Is this ok for long haired cats?

Answer by KayleeJul 13, 2025
As long as your cat isn't the type to sit low.... (we have one who gets litter clumps stuck to her no matter the type of litter. : ) )

How many bags does it take to fill a large litter box. My current box takes almost 40lb of clay litter, what is the comparison?

Can we flush this type of litter down the toilet?

Answer by ChewyDec 18, 2023
This litter can be flushed. However, parasites in cat litter have been found to harm certain mammals and it is recommended for pet parents to do their research before flushing.

This litter is fantastic, the best hard clumping litter I have ever used and especially for an alternative to clay, but even within the entire range - it’s the best. It is dusty, and very expensive, so I currently mix it into a walnut shell clumping litter that is much less expensive, helps make the clumps much firmer and in turn the litter cleaner for longer with less odor. I do wish it cost less but mixing it into the other litter still works great so it’s more affordable that way.

I like the idea of this litter based on its composition (with dogs in the house that love to eat kitty litter remnants!) and bought specifically for a special needs rescue cat that has three deformed limbs. He manages to use the litter box, and we love how it’s quickly clumping and hardening so he is less likely to have litter on him. The major issue with the fine grain is how it gets EVERYWHERE. It’s like living near the beach and fine sand is all over the place! We are going to give the larger grain a try for our next purchase and hope for a better, less sandy outcome!

My cat’s favorite litter! Clumps super fast and into rock hard clumps that never fall apart. They seem to like the sand-like texture on their paws. No issues with smelly litter boxes, I completely change their litter once a month. But - this litter tracks a lot! Not even a mat in front of the litter box helps. Be prepared to vacuum daily.

I was afraid to try this cat litter as my cat has used clay litter all her life. But after trying it I will never go back to clay litter again. Super hard clumps that don't fall apart when you remove them from the litter box. Amazing odor control. My cat likes it because it's easier on her paws. I'm only on my second bag and I'm sold.

I have a Maine Coon with medium dog sized potty. This litter is AMAZING! The fine grain is soft on his feet, and mine when tracked outside the box. It’s a perfectly tight scoop! Nothing “crumbles” or gets “broken off & left” in the box. No smell. I swear it lasts forever! I even got my parents, sister and sister in law all changed to it! I absolutely love it and will be change. Also it’s natural with virtually NO DUST!!

I started purchasing Sustainably Yours for purely selfish, aesthetic reasons. Two of my girls are all white and their paws were getting stained and dingy from the clay litter. That said, this litter quickly won me over. It tracks. All litter tracks, but it clumps so well that we use less and I appreciate the neutral smell. I scoop frequently and pair it with a small, single room air purifier and rarely have odor issues.

Very different from anything else we have tried. Very tight clumps make keeping the box clean much easier. Very fine texture is almost sand like, so no powder becomes airborne or carried out on their paws. It doesn't track far from the box so the box area is an easier clean up too.

I hate to write a negative review. The litter does not discase the smell of the cat urine and poop that falls into the lower tray. It does clump well. We purchased a self-cleaning unit and this litter was recommended for these systems. We smell cat when entering our home. And the fineness of the litter seems to leave our floor with a slight film making the tile possibly slippery. Self cleaning units need a cat litter that removes scent.

I mixed this with a clay litter, since it's kind of expensive. I get firmer clumps than the clay litter alone. Since it clumps so well, I'm finding myself using more litter. Odor control isn't the best, but idk if odor would improve if I ditched the clay litter entirely. My cat doesnt bury her business, so there's probably not much a litter can do to help with that. Outside-the-box-tracking is less noticeable than the clay particles, since the litter is white & very fine. I'm still shopping around other litters to find something both cost effective & functional. It's definitely an upgrade from clay litter alone.

After years of scraping clay litter out of the pan with a putty knife, a friend brought me a bag of this litter. It's so clumping, odorless, light weight and no waste. Lasts much longer than average clay litter and never sticks to anything.. It's more expensive but saves alot of money in the end because there is no waste. No bakaches either.
