    my dog didn’t like it

    By on

I used to feed my dog TOTW grain free before the fda studies came out. I rotated flavors and he didn’t have a problem with the brand. We switched to Purina Pro Plan (also on rotation of different flavors) and then found out TOTW put out a line of dog food with grains so I tried this out. He’s a black lab and will eat anything and everything except this. I’m gonna put him back on Purina Pro Plan since it’s what works for him. We wanted this to work!

    Great Alternative to Original

    By on

I love to see Taste or the Wild offering grain options. My pup has been on salmon based formulas that contain probiotics for awhile due to sensitive skin and allergies. He loves this! I did take a full week and a half to very slowly change the food over, as not to cause stomach upset. His coat is glossy and his itching is down! And I love that this an option after the FDA reports. Sure it could be a coincidence, but I like to air on the side of caution. Definitely recommend!

So far my GS girl doesn't like this as well as the grain free Pacific Stream.

    By on

She gobbled up the Pacific Stream Grain Free but only picks at this food. I transitioned slowly from the old recipe to the new one and right from the beginning she wasn't thrilled with this in the mix. Since I have another bag I'm going to continue and see how it goes.

    happy so far

    By on

My dogs love this food, I did which from the Pacific stream to ancient grains. They seem to be doing better on this food. Although I do give them a variety of other meats and veggies. If my dogs are happy I’m happy :)

Senior Dog Gobbles Up Food Like A Puppy

    By on

My senior dog LOVES this food!!! I have not seen him this excited about food in years! My old man had a tooth removed about a year ago and his other teeth aren’t in the best of shape (rescued dog) so he sometimes has trouble with food, I usually have to add water to soften it for him. I don’t have to do that with this food so I’m thinking it’s a little softer and easy for him to eat.

My Vet thanks you & I thank you for making a GRAIN ADDED FOOD!

    By on

Thank you Taste of the Wild for finally adding grain to your food! My Vet no longer wants me to feed foods that are grain-free, as it is proven to lead to heart disease! I love my dogs too much to let that happen! I also love the high protein in this for my girls as well! One more thing I would like to ask, please do not add Chicken Meal to any food unless it is the Ancient Wetlands or a Fowl recipe. One of my dogs loves Venison, but I cannot feed her your new Ancient Prarire, as it has Chicken Meal in it. Why??? It should only have Bison & Venison or similar proteins. Chicken is the most common protein allergen in food, so why include it in recipes that are not a Fowl recipe? I hope Chewy will Thank you Taste of the Wild for finally adding grain to your food! Not for our dogs

    By on

We have been feeding our 3 German Shepherds the grain free version of the salmon for years. Based on some comments about an FDA report on certain ingredients, we tried this food without those ingredients. The dogs liked the food but, it did not agree with their digestive system. Taste of the Wild is a great food and we may just stay with the other food and ignore the FDA report. It's sketchy science at best anyway.

    Salmon that My Dog Likes

    By on

My pup has food allergies. They tell me to put her on straight salmon food - no grains and no poultry. It is very difficult to find any food that does not have chicken. She actually likes the Taste of the Wild Ancient Stream food.

    Dogs love it!

    By on

Switched to this from the grain free formula. Dogs are loving it, and no digestive issues with the switch. Have been feeding TOTW for a while. Happy customer and pooches here!
