When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your cat’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

The Diet Nature Intended
They might not be cheetahs or lions, but today's domestic cats share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.
Energy That Lasts
Taste of the Wild is made with premium fish and meats like smoked salmon, trout, ocean fish, roasted venison and chicken. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pet feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support
Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a cat's GI tract. The proprietary Viables probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your cat gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.
Maximizing Nutrient Absorption
To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your kitty will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas
Taste of the Wild gives your little wildcat just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from smoked salmon or ocean fish, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.
Ingredients for Better Health
The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.
TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.
BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.
RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

NO NO NO nobody likes it!
By HappyCamper on Feb 14, 2019
We have 3 fur babies, our girl cat has disgestive issues. We have been told she may have developed IBS! I didn't know cats could have it! I have it myself, so I am aware of the symptoms. We were advised to try this food, that it should help her condition. NO NO NO...no real changes in her POOP situation. We still have to clean up her messes outside the box. She still displays signs of distress, and unfortunately, her 2 fur brothers DO NOT like the taste! I had to mix in wet food for her to even try it. I am very disappointed. We were willing to pay for expensive food if we got results. Our one cat who used to eat like a pig, LOST WEIGHT on this food. Life changer
By Remitreats on Jan 24, 2019
This food completely changed our cat. Mia would vomit immediately after eating, everyday, large amounts and small amounts. You could feel her backbone and she was light as a feather. Took her about 48 hours to get adjusted and not once in 3 weeks has she vomited. Her temperament has done a 360, she is gaining weight, and she is 110% more playful to include chasing our Morkie around like they were best friends. I feel horrible not trying a different cat food due to higher prices then store bought commercial grade trash. I imagine it was a food allergy. I'm assuming any grain free food would work but for now I am sticking with this brand.

Taste of the Wild Canyon River Grain-Free Dry Cat Food
By TXDashopaholic on Jan 17, 2019
Our youngest cat developed allergies early on to ALL poultry products. At that time, this was the ONLY product we could find that had NO poultry listed anywhere in the ingredients. So our cats ate this exclusively for 12 years until we lost him. Once we did, we decided to try some other good brands just to give our girls some variety. AFTER they gained unhealthy weight, we came back to the best. Now Taste of the Wild does have the limited ingredients for cats in beef and turkey. I just wish Chewy's would get them! This is definitely NOT cheap food BUT they also don't constantly eat. Because it is nutritious they are full once they feed. And their coats would put any mink's to shame! It was GONE!
By Mary on Jan 6, 2019
I have 4 cats - 2 are fat and 1 has digestive issues - throws up frequently. I was given a sample of this at the local pet store and fed it to my cats last night. I came back to find their bowls completely empty and even kibble on the floor was gobbled up! My sensitive cat did not get sick and it must have been filling enough because nobody did their characteristic begging for food afterwards! It may be too soon to tell for sure, but so far it's a hit!

Don't let your family help feed the cat
By NotesToTheNext on Dec 3, 2018
My cat was on a raw food diet for years, but it simply became too much to do it. Switched to a dry food and had to go through several before settling on this one. Taste of the Wild doesn't make either him or his litterbox smell bad, his coat is just as thick and glossy as when he was on the raw, and except for the fact that my family was overfeeding him by about 200% while I was overseas for a couple years (1.5 CUPS a day instead of 1/2 cup!) he has done exceptionally well. I've convinced everyone to not overfeed him so hopefully we can get him back down to a healthy 11 pounds of solid muscle rather than 14.5 pounds of chub.

Finally satisfied kitty's tummy
By PandaRee on Dec 15, 2018
I have a five month old neutered male kitty named Astrid. I was feeding him a brand name kitten food but he always seemed like he was starving and wanted something else. I thought I would choose a more nutritious brand of food for him and since I feed my dog Taste of the Wild it was an obvious choice. I barely change Astrid over to the new food two weeks ago and he seems healthier and happier. Thanks Chewy and Taste of the Wild for keeping my furbabies well fed.

Love this food!
By Lizzie on Jan 9, 2019
Great quality ingredients, healthy chow for my 4 felines! They love it and devoue every morsel. I love Taste of the Wild for the quality and the pricing, $30 autoshipped for 15lbs, that lasts me an entire month for four cats. Excited to try different proteins, same brand, on my next autoship!

Pretty good
By Linny on Jan 2, 2019
The ingredient list of this brand is great and it's much more affordable than others. I like the nutritional content of this brand but the kibbles are too small and round for my cat's preference. He can eat them too quickly because of their size and shape but I don't think they're particularly much smaller than other brands.

Best catfood
By Leila6 on Jan 22, 2019
I bought same brand with venison, however I decided to change to salmon. My cat inhales it. I bought a 5 pound bag for trial, I have to order a 15 pound bag next time. I have never seen my cat finish her food tray until now. Best cat food

Not a good flavor
By Marisa on Jan 22, 2019
My cats like this brand, but this flavor smells awful and they don't rush over to the bowl to have some. They never leave food in their bowls except with this one, so I would recommend the brand but not this particular flavor.
