These hoods can not be put together to make a long one.

The 20-in hood fits most 20 x 10 inches aquariums, such as 10, 26 Extra High and 20 High gallon tanks. The 24-in hood fits most 24 x 12 inches aquariums, such as 15 , 20 High, 25 and 30 Extra High gallon tanks. The 30-in hood fits most 30 x 12 inches aquariums, such as 20 Long, 29 and 37 gallon tanks.

I think the old setup was better than the new one. Much harder to assemble and time consuming. Why change things that worked just fine on the previous years mod

Lights don't last

I'd liked this lightweight flat aquarium Hood At first, the lighting is bright enough and it's very low profile. The trouble is that the lights don't last very long

I'd liked this lightweight flat aquarium Hood At first, the lighting is bright enough and it's very low profile. The trouble is that the lights don't last very long because any splashing from the water gets up inside them they are not even water resistant. If you do buy this you need to add some silicone around the connectors to the lights that would probably solve it

Aquarium hood and light

This lasted for about three months. The light just quit. According to the directions if the light quits then you just dry it out for 24 hours. This didn't work

Complete JUNK Dont waste your $

I have had aquariums for over 25+ years and I needed a good for a BRAND NEW 29 gallon aquarium. So I needed at 30” hold. When I opened this hood it is the cheapest

I have had aquariums for over 25+ years and I needed a good for a BRAND NEW 29 gallon aquarium. So I needed at 30” hold. When I opened this hood it is the cheapest most flimsy piece of plastic ever. As for the size it is too big to fit down into the groves where the hood sits down in so even try to get it to stay it keeps falling into my aquarium. Then there are the lights. The light bar that goes inside is cheap also and the light bar doesn’t stay in place and there is no way to lock it into place so I used duct tape on each end to hold it in place. It wasn’t until I had all the other problems of it fitting, staying etc and I decided I am sending this almost $100 piece of garbage back - so hence my hands on experience with it and my rating.

Absolute garbage!

I've been an aquarist for 35 years. This is without a doubt the worst hood I have ever encountered. Mounting clips don't fit and break during installation. Does

I've been an aquarist for 35 years. This is without a doubt the worst hood I have ever encountered. Mounting clips don't fit and break during installation. Does not sit on inner flange of tank which effects stability. Light color is a dingy yellow, like old fluorescents. Not Chewy's fault. Manufacturer design issue
