Tomlyn Laxatone Hairball Remedy Tuna Flavor Gel Cat Supplement is a smooth easy-to-use gel for the prevention and removal of hairballs in cats and kittens. Both long and short haired cats shed to some degree all year long. Bathing and brushing helps lower the amount of hair swallowed during self-grooming, but some hair gets into the stomach and it cannot be digested. It can block your cat's digestive system. Regular use of Laxatone coats the swallowed hair and allows it to easily pass through the intestinal tract. Laxatone is a safe, gentle, easy-to-use gel used worldwide for over 25 years. It has an irresistible taste... just place the recommended amount of gel on your finger or on the animal's paw. For best results, feed between meals and do not mix with food.
Gentle but effective lubricant for the elimination and prevention of hairballs
Helps eliminate hairball in the litter box rather than create a mess on the floor
Safe and effective hairball treatment may be used daily to prevent and treat hairballs
Regular use coats swallowed hairballs and allows them to pass through the intestinal tract
Easy to use, palatable gel makes administering to your cat easy and enjoyable

I tried letting my two cats smell it hoping they would lick the open tube. They didn't. Then I put some on the paw of my one cat who has big issues with hair balls and he's a little on the wacky side. He freaked and ran around the house as fast as he could. Later, I put some on a paper plate. They both smelled it and one tasted it but it just sat there. I am going to try it some more because my wacky cat really needs something.
So far my cat won't take it

I have used this product for years on hairball issues. Not all of my cats like the taste but it works. I don't recommend putting it on the paws because you could have a sticky mess. I just take the recommended amount on my finger and put it in the corner of their mouth when they are relaxed somewhere. They get over it.
Best hair ball remedy!

I swear by this stuff. I work with a cat rescue org and we foster and rehome a cats, and this hairball remedy is truly the best.
I give on an empty stomach like a inch sized line for 1-3 days in a row and it helps with hair balls, and even constipation. I’ve taken cats to vets who have been blocked, but now I always use this as a first step if I start noticing it and this usually clears everything up quickly. Would not use any other hair ball remedy.
They don’t all like to eat it- very case by case basis. I just smear as much of it as I can onto their paws and they’re forced to clean if off themselves. Some of them hate it but it’s only a couple times and it works so it’s worth it.
Great for hairballs & constipation

My cat was having a constipation issue because of her long hair. After a visit to the vet for some laxative I was told I should give her this a couple of times a week. She did not like it and still doesn't. I have to put her in a locked room before opening the cap and I had to buy a little thing with a plunger to administer liquid meds to us humans. After I get her in the locked room (she'll hide for hrs. if she smells it) I'll fill the tube with the recommended amount and give it to her slowly. Putting it on her paws or near her mouth wouldn't work with her.

My baby was having some serious problems with fur balls, vet suggested this, she’s not real excited when I put it on her nose , but she licks it off and it has helped with her problems! And I love that I can get everything I need for my fur babies from Chewy and have fast delivery right at my door! Thanks Chewy!
Love it great

I am so happy for her .Yes I would recommend this for your cat.I have tried so many different brands. This is a winner in my family
To furball or not to furball...

All the hairball supplements I've given my cats have worked, but this version isn't as good as Tomlyn's ALL NATURAL version. This is thick in texture by comparison to the thinner texture of the natural version. No hairballs, so it works. But my cat doesn't like it as much as the natural version. I mix it in her food and she can tell.

I mix this in with my cat's wet food in the mornings, since he won't really eat it any other way. And since he eats tuna anyways, and loves his wet food...well, he eats all of it. No more puking!
My cats disliked the flavor

The reason I'm giving this a poor review is because none of my cats liked the smell or taste and I don't really blame them. Its suppose to have a tuna flavor but it doesn't smell appetizing at all
