Are Trixie toys safe for eating and free of BPA, PVC, lead, phthalates and any other harmful chemicals found in plastics?

Answer by ChewyMay 27, 2021
Trixie Activity toys are BPA-free and nontoxic. Many Trixie items contain a Proposition 65 label. Even though a product may be found to contain a Proposition 65-listed chemical (900 chemicals in total), it does not mean that use of the product will cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Nor does it mean that a product is unsafe. The statute requires a warning label even if the amount of the chemical is miniscule.

Gouda was getting bored of the first tray after she figured out all the drawers. I ordered this one to mix and match. She was fully immersed in. Solved two so fast but then had to think for the new ones. Not so difficult that she became deterred and interesting enough that she was fully engaged. Wish there were more boxes to swap in and out

She really enjoys these puzzles but one of the boxes..the one with the paw on It...she steps on it but the small pc doesn't come out. I had to smack it with my hand pretty hard for it to come out and then it only rolled out. I am disappointed in that box, but the rest of the puzzle is great!!

Our dog was doing ok with it but as it didn’t want to stay in place on our tiled floors, he started to get frustrated and was getting rougher with it. While we watch him while he uses any puzzle, this is the first where we had to actively hold it in place and also redirect him to the other pieces as he was ready to rip the compartments apart as it wasn’t responding to his use (which should have worked the piece he was trying to)

Ren and I use this on rainy days when I’m looking to tire him out mentally. We mix it in with other kinds of instructional commands because the puzzles only take him 2-3 minutes and he is usually bored with the activity after 3 or 4 rounds.

I have two very curious and busy 16 week old corgi puppies. The one will work and work at a puzzle until she figures it out. The other tries for little while then waits for her sister to hit the goodies. Then she helps her eat it! With this puzzle, the one that waits became engaged and figured out some of the puzzles that were easier for her. The payout was sooner!

This box would've been perfect if it was more fine-tuned. The box provides great puzzle variety and the upright bone lever/lid opener + transparent cylinder were pretty much perfect. However, the transparent cylinder mid-piece falls out easily, the push-paw dispenser hole is too big, the rectangle slider has to be lifted a little for it to slide out, the side-knob lever slit provides alternative treat access.

No challenge

Took our dog about 30 seconds to get all the treats and then proceeded to try to destroy it.

Finally one that can't beat in 30 seconds

My dogs play dumb on TV but once they're in front of a puzzle toy they either outsmart it in under a minute or just flip the dang thing over and muscle the treats out. Then we got this thing. It takes Lil Man 10 minutes to get everything out! I'm so happy. He actually has to work at it. Once he's tired of it we will try giving it to Miss Muscles and hope she doesn't flip or headbutt it across the room. It's wider than all our other puzzle toys so she might not be able to do that.

Great puzzle for small pups

This puzzle was challenging enough for my two Maltese and actually made them work a little for the treats.
