Place 3 inches of litter in pan. Clean regularly.
The litter box doesn't extend out far enough. The cats don't like it very much. They pee in the crystals that I bought along with this litter box but they don't poop in it. I've purchased two other litter boxes that are longer or rectangular that they like. It's Nature' Miracle High Sided litter box.
This is a great litter box for small cats or growing kittens 8wks and up. The 3 high sides help contain the litter well and my kitten is able to jump in and out with ease. Much better than the dish pan type I was using previously (sides are much higher on this which can also give kitty some privacy). I do think for one (small/avg) adult cat this would be good as well, though I do prefer covered litter boxes so I am using this now with my kitten since she doesn't need a huge box. It's not huge but still has plenty of room for kitty, and it fits nicely in the cat playpen we ordered here for our kitten, and the litter slides out easily. You can see it in my cats playpen on the photo. Very pleased and price was good, I would definitely recommend it.
Three stars because the pan is much bigger than it appeared to me in the product photo with the grey cat (with white snout). I'm at fault for not knowing its dimensions when I ordered. The longest side is about 27 inches. That is crazy big for putting in a feral cat setup, which is used when introducing a new cat to a TNR colony.
I got the cage type playpen for my cat and This litter box is great, just the right size made well and my cat likes it, easy to clean and a good price.
Unless you use a lot of heavy litter, there's a good chance your cat will step on the rim and flip this box on it's side. I've had the pan for less than a week and will have to replace it with something with a wider base. Do not recommend.
It came badly bent which is sad. But I’m giving it 3 stars bc it’s still durable and fits nicely into corners
Wish I would’ve went with the one with wall guards. It’s a great size but I guess because of how small it is the cats throw out the litter making a huge mess. Needs taller walls
Keep my two kittens (hellions :) ) in my large bathroom while I'm at work during the day, until they get over their "zoomies!" and get a little older. Ugh! I had a square litter box at first, that took up much space, but then I ordered this triangular corner litter box, and it allowed for much more room for them (Nazare' and Wolfie). It fits perfectly in the corner! And it does add more room for them to play. It was a great choice, a perfect fit and a very smooth transaction with Chewy! Thanks Chewy! You always have the perfect solution!
I have two of these and I'm about to get a third. They're perfect for small spaces and deep enough to hold adequate litter. I haven't had either of them tip over so far (4 months of use), and one of my cats is big and clumsy. The cats have shown their preference by using them almost to the exclusion of their regular size box.
This is very convenient if you are looking for a "corner" box, but I have 2 medium size cats and this really isn't big enough for them to comfortably "go". One of my babies loves to fling litter so I wound up going with a bigger box with higher walls.
