can you fit a litter box in there?
Answer by ChewyMar 27, 2020
Depending on the size of the litter box, it may fit inside this playpen. We recommend measuring the litter box and comparing it to the dimensions of this playpen.

Do the wheels lock?
Answer by ChewyApr 26, 2020
This playpen includes 4 rolling casters that can be locked. The caster wheels are removable, and use is optional.

Could you please list specific weight limits for each individual level, including the base? Something more specific than “designed to hold cats of most sizes and life stages?” Thank you.
Answer by ChewyMar 25, 2021
Each shelf supports up to 25 pounds and the base supports 37.5 pounds.

How high are the opening doors from the ground?
Answer by ChewyJan 18, 2021
The Bottom door from floor to door opening is approximately 5.3 inches. The Top door from floor to door opening is approximately 30 inches.

Very impressed - they learned from other manufacturers' mistakes

I continue to find the Frisco brand to be a great quality at a reasonable price. Specifically, I found this 3-tier cage to be particularly easy to assemble. To start with, the instructions were clear. The sides slide together the way they are supposed to. There are "stops" build into the design to that the sides don't flop too far the wrong way when you are trying to put it together. The screws, nuts, and washers were conveniently preassembled so that you start of with sets where you know the nuts actually screw onto the screws. (With loose pieces, often, there are manufacturing defects in some of the screws and nuts, rendering them useless.) Also, I like the door latches for this model much more than, say, the Midwest brand. It feels like they figured out what was "wrong" with other manufacterers' designs and how to do it better.

Safe, secure.

This unit solved my problems. I am selling my house and rather than haul my kitties around with me during showings, I purchased this “safe haven” for them. No worries about anyone accidentally letting a furry-baby slip out a door unnoticed. I also added to my pets’ feeling secure by buying a Frisco kennel cover that just happens to fit over the upper half of the cage.

really sturdy and strong - wish it had ladders

this thing is HUGE! (confession: I did not read the measurements before buying, haha). I could fit 3 or more kittens in here, but I only have the one. However I wish there were the option to buy metal ladders to connect the ledges as this little guy is too tiny to climb up to the other levels easily. What would be really ideal is if it came as is but then Chewy also sold accessories such as replacement shelves, pads, small litterboxes with hooks to attach to the side, and LADDERS! I'm looking online to see if I can buy them separately anywhere, and it's not easy. also I agree with the previous reviewer that said it would be nice if one of the ledges could be left without the pad as a feeding station. I gave my kitten a cardboard box to sleep in and am feeding him on top of it in a very makeshift and jerry-rigged solution. but the cage itself is strong & seems well made.

Room for improvement

I chose this because my mom has one and she hasn't had any issue with it. It was easy to assemble in just a few minutes. Unfortunately, the shelves are too bendy/thin plastic/ no reinforcement, and causes it to pop out where it attaches to the sides. My cat is around the same size as hers so I will try to find a way to reinforce it or just donate if i cant.

NO LADDERS

I should have reviewed this cage before I bought it and considered its use, I had rescued two kittens and they needed more room to grow. The fact that ladders werent included or even available as an afterthought warranted the missing star. It was easy to assemble, alone and the wheels make it so easy to move about, but consider having ladders and feeder bowls that attach to the sides as add ons

Excellent Cat Cage

We had three unexpected kittens born in our barn. We didn't have anywhere to keep them safe until they were old enough to be spayed/neutered, so this has worked out great. We have ramps for them to go up and down kitten toys for them to play with. They love the soft pads -- first place they went to!!

Good except no bolts for wheels

The wire & tray are very good quality for the price. I would suggest buying black zip ties to make it more sturdy. The doors work well. Litter box fit on bottom as well as food & water bowls for 2, 4 month old kittens. Add a scratcher & they were happy. The nuts & bolts for the wheels were no where to be found though. One would think they would be in the plastic clam shell with the wheels. Guess I got an incorrectly packed unit.

Great cage and lots of space!

This was such a wonderful buy. Yes it was a little more expensive, but the quality was really there. Unfortunately, I got it to long after I got my 2 cats. They will not allow me to cage them at night, but they do use it to lounge around all day and I feed them inside the cage. Definitely recommended!

Cat Cage Playpen

This products is just what we were looking for. It’s a great size and works well. It’s big enough for a litter box on the bottom. We were able to use two of the perches and also added a cat hammock and water and food bowls. This is not something we use on a regular basis, but when needed, it’s great to have.

Easy Set Ups

The slow part was attaching the coasters. The coasters were a brilliant idea and makes it easy for me to move it around so I can clean around it. **I was lucky my 2 cats adapted better than expected to the "Bedtime Safe House". They did not freak out and try to get out. They are both older, I guess they quickly figured out that our 3 dogs are unable to get to them. The dogs had a couple of sniffs, "Leave It" commands, and have not approached the safe house since. After a week, my 2 cats enter the "Safe House" on their own to use the litter boxes and eat (undisturbed). At bedtime, they are "locked up" for the night. My jaw is still hanging from my surprise that they really love their "new" home within our home. I wish I was able to provide a photo of their contented demeanor but I am not that talented with my cell & current computer, sorry.
