Id like to know how many mg of zink are in these tablets please i also notice the ingredients say they have calcium in it, my understanding is that the calcium blocks zink absorption so can you please give me some feed back

Answer by ChewyMay 11, 2020
Each tablet provides 15 milligrams of Zinc.

Are these tables good for itching? Allergies?

Answer by ChewyFeb 11, 2021
This supplement is not formulated to help with allergies or itchy skin. It is formulated to help support a healthy immune response to disease, metabolism, and can support a healthy liver, healthy skin and wound healing.

So how many tablets would you give an 80 lb dog

Answer by ChewyDec 06, 2020
Administer 1 chewable tablets daily to provide 15 mg of Zinc per day for each 20 lbs of body weight. For an 80 pound dog, it is recommended to administer 4 tablets a day.

Do these tablets contain any proteins? If yes, which ones? I see animal liver meal and beef flavoring.

Answer by ChewyMar 22, 2024
The Supplement does contain animal liver meal which is part of the protein source but the beef flavoring is from the juices of the animal.

husky likes them as a treat

necessary for Zinc deficiency skin issues for Husky-Malamutes, these maintain zinc levels..not a high dose per tab so may take several or supplement with another

necessary for Zinc deficiency skin issues for Husky-Malamutes, these maintain zinc levels..not a high dose per tab so may take several or supplement with another zink pill (Optizinc). Most Husky with a zrd symptom will benefit from a no chicken, limited ingredient diet. and adding mackeral or sardines in water (never cottonseed or olive oil !)

My girls coat has never looked better!

My huskies coat is so shiny and soft and I 100% contribute it to this product. And she won’t eat her food without it!

After $5000 in testing we arrived at an $11 cure :-)

It's too early to tell, but we're hoping that remedying a zinc deficiency will solve a major issue with our beautiful husky :-)

Saved our puppy

Our husky/ malamute just turned one years old when he was scratching so much his lip and ear was bleeding. His fur was falling out in patches and he had little infections

Our husky/ malamute just turned one years old when he was scratching so much his lip and ear was bleeding. His fur was falling out in patches and he had little infections like a ring on the back of his neck. He also was not eating well and was considered underweight. He had soft stool ever since we adopted him at 12 weeks old. I brought him to the vets for an allergy test, however, we were lucky to have a vet that recognized this was not allergies, but a zinc deficiency. Right away we started him on the supplement along with a light dose of prednisone which was tapered off. Within a few weeks his fur stopped falling out and he stopped scratching, his stool got firmer etc. It did take months for the lesions to heal, so be patient. Also, his tummy is very sensitive. He is a picky eater too, so if he does not eat enough and I give him this supplement, it will upset his tummy. Even though it is a chewable, he will vomit it up whole hours later. I found the best solution is to grind the chewable tablet into a powder. He gets 3 tablets a day for his weight of 68 pounds. I split it between a.m and p.m. to equal 1.5 tablets ground each feeding. I also mix it with one capsule of fish oil as it helps with absorption and about a tablespoon of Nutri-cal nutritional gel to be sure he gets enough to not upset his tummy. I swirl it all together and put it on little bite sized soft treats like wellness soft puppy treats and he eats it right up. It has been 6 months now and all his symptoms have cleared up.
