How do I give Glandex' to my pet?
Glandex comes as a naturally flavored powder that you give with your pet's food once a day using the dosing guidelines below or on the label. The best way to give Glandex is to sprinkle it directly on top of your pet's dry food. It can also be mixed with a small amount of warm water to create a gravy that your pet will love! Pets overwhelmingly love the taste of Glandex and tend to eat their food more eagerly with Glandex mixed into it. Will I still need to have my pet's anal glands expressed?
It is recommended (but not necessary) to have your pet's anal glands emptied prior to starting Glandex. Intermittent or regular anal gland emptying may still be needed depending upon the severity of your pet's condition, however Glandex can greatly reduce or completely eliminate the need for manual anal gland expressing. If you ever feel that your pet's anal glands need emptying please seek proper medical attention.
What else can I do to help my pet's anal gland problems?
Along with using Glandex regularly it is important to feed a diet that is made from high quality ingredients and free from excessive fillers to help maintain firm and solid stools. Maintaining your pet's ideal weight is important as overweight pets may have increased difficulty emptying their glands. Regular exercise can help to tone and strengthen some of the muscles that help to empty the glands. If your pet has allergies than reducing exposure to these allergies can help to reduce anal gland problems. In conjunction with using our oral Glandex supplement it is also helpful to use our Glandex Wipes. Glandex Wipes help to maintain proper hygiene and also contain Vitamin E and Aloe to help soothe and restore the area.
I have been using Glandex' for a few weeks and do not see any improvement. What should I do?
If you have started your pet on Glandex and have not noticed any results we recommend that you be patient. Although most pets show improvement within 3 - 5 weeks, some pets may require a longer period of time to see the full benefits of Glandex. In general, the more severe your pet's anal gland problems are the longer it will take to see results. Some pets may require up to 2 - 3 months to show improvement on Glandex. If you have been using Glandex for several weeks without any improvement it is safe to increase to twice the recommended dosage. Some pets may require a higher dosage of Glandex to respond and see results. Finally, if you have not seen any improvement after 8 - 10 weeks even with a higher dosage you may return your order for a full refund. We guarantee Glandex's effectiveness because it does truly work, however if you are not satisfied for any reason you can return your order for a full refund within 90 days.

YAY! They work!
By Susie on Feb 15, 2021
Both of my dogs have a problem with what I call ‘fish butt’ (leaky anal glands when they get nervous, excited, worked up). They are a beagle and a beagle mix. With how frequently they were getting that terrible smell on the furniture and blankets, I would have to consistently take them both to the vet every few weeks to get their glands expressed. I’m so glad I found these treats, I was very skeptical at first BUT I have not smelled even a hint of fish butt since I started giving these to them every day about two weeks ago! They both love the treats, too, so I’m glad it’s not hard to convince them to eat these.

Seems to work and was recommended by Vet.
By redgarnet54 on Feb 14, 2021
I have 2 gals who tend to have issues with a slight drainage at times. They have been checked by our Vet and their glands are not clogged and should be draining properly yet at times during a barking phase when stressed they sometimes emit. I have never noticed them scooting but since feeding them the Glandex chews, I have not smelled that unpleasant scent anywhere. Therefore I will continue to feed as a "treat" just before breakfast daily. I have tried both the powder and the chews and find it difficult to get a reliable measurement from the powder and since the chews are loved I decided to stick with the chews.

Seeing improvement with use of Glandex
By Sheilah on Jan 30, 2021
I was having my little rescue dog's anal glands expressed about every 3 weeks for this last year. About 3 weeks of taking glandex the groomer said she could see the difference in the amount that needed to be expressed. I just took her in yesterday after being on this for 41 days. Definite improvement. The amount expressed was slightly less but the fluid was thinner and much easier to express. Before this I had tried adding different things to her food to "bulk" up her stools without success. I didn't give this a 5 star only because the problem isn't gone yet and I'm hoping for continued improvement. I really appreciate the review that said their vet said sensitive stomach from Science I was having my little rescue dog's anal glands expressed about every 3 weeks for this last year. I'm going to check into that as she has tummy issues as well. … more

NO MORE STINKY BUTT!
By 1234 on Feb 8, 2021
About 2 years ago we noticed a foul odor coming from my dogs butt. Don’t even wanna get into detail what it smelled like and had some brown discharge coming out as well. Didn’t really know much about anal gland expressing at the time til the odor became unbearable and had to do some research. Saw these Glandex chewies and they were a miracle !!! Noticed a huge different in 3 days of trying them. She loved the flavor! And the smell was gone! These glandex are my go to whenever we think she starting to get “stinky butt” again. They always do the trick.

These really work
By BluetickMom on Feb 4, 2021
My bluetick is having problems with one gland staying full and the other draining normally. Caused him to lick and have to be expressed almost biweekly. He was clearly so uncomfortable and would even leak on the furniture. After a few days of these, he pooped 3-4 times a day instead of once or twice- no more licking! Moved down to giving the treats every other day instead of every day for a happy medium. Stopped giving them for a couple days and he was back to licking. Safe to say they work and we will be keeping these treats a part of his diet. So glad he has relief.

Glandex has saved us both!!
By Ashley on Feb 15, 2021
I will admit I wasn’t very hopeful that these would help my Mountain Cur Mix. Her anal glands were literally expressing or actually leaking almost daily. It was getting so bad she would either have large quantities of blood or stool with the anal gland fluid. She had been on antibiotics and was having her anal glands expressed regularly, but nothing seemed to help. As a last ditch effort before sending us to a specialist my vet recommended these. I will admit that at this point I had pretty much lost hope. I was preparing myself for what seemed like the inevitable, a very expensive surgery and more than likely painful recovery for my dog. I will admit that at this point I had pretty much lost hope. I was preparing myself for what seemed like the inevitable, a very expensive surgery and more than likely painful recovery for my dog. On top of it I was told it is a very risky surgery to remove her anal glands. Reading multiple reviews on here gave me some hope, but at 3.5 weeks of dosing her I was quickly loosing hope again. I was told by the manufacturer that I could double her dose after 4 weeks if the chews didn’t seem to be working which seemed like a lot to me. I decided to stick it out and continue to give these chews to her for at least 5 wks. If they didn’t work I was willing to try the double dose. As I’ve now made this a long story, man am I glad I stuck with Glandex chews!!! I ended up not even having to double her dose. I will say it took a solid 4.5-5 wks to work, so to anyone loosing hope, try sticking it out or doubling the dose. I would of course consult your vet or the manufacturer before doing so like I did. She has been on these chews now for 3 months and has had 1 accident. I understand it’s prob not going to completely cure the problem, but it has more than helped her. She’s used to be so miserable and was constantly licking or chewing at her bottom to the point I imagine it was sore or raw. I could see it on her face how uncomfortable she was. I hated seeing her miserable and felt helpless. Now I have a happy dog with very seldom accidents and little licking or chewing. Thank goodness for this product! It has truly saved us both!! … more

Dog spit it out
By Burtsbeesbrush on Feb 27, 2021
These are primarily peanut butter so I thought she’d like it. I’ll try refrigerating them as the package advises. They are sticky and unappetizing so maybe that will help. Also annoyingly this is one of those packages where the zipper closure doesn’t track properly and won’t close. Don’t these companies try their own products?

So happy we found these!
By LaurenSeay on Feb 1, 2021
Since our miniature dachshund was spayed, she had not had a solid poop. She was growing increasingly uncomfortable with scooting and licking the area so we had to get her glands expressed but we wanted a more natural solution. She’s been taking these for about a week and a half and her poops have been slowly firming up since and are now back to normal! We are so happy with how these have helped her.

Highly recommend
By Ember on Feb 5, 2021
Our dog was having a very hard to time with expressing her glands and they filled up quickly. We had tried giving her pumpkin alone and that didn't work. After only a week of using glandex she had no more yeast smell she wasn't scooting her behind and most importantly we didn't have to keep taking her back to the vet to have her glands expressed .

Most Effective Product I've Tried
By PalomasMom on Jan 27, 2021
Glandex is a great, effective solution for dog butt issues. It seems to relieve her itching and discomfort and works as a fiber supplement, too. The ingredients are all natural, which I prefer for pet supplements. The chews are small and soft, which make them perfectly camouflaged as treats. My dog also does not mind the peanut butter flavor
