how to use BPO-3
Answer by ChewyAug 10, 2017
Shake the bottle well and with tepid water, thoroughly wet animal’s coat. Massage shampoo into the coat while continuously adding water to get better dispersion. Continue until a mild lather is produced. Allow it to stand for 5-10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with water. You may repeat if necessary.

Works well but drys out the dog's coat

My vet recommended this for my dog's scaly seborrhea. It worked well and the scales and dandruff were gone after 3 weeks, but it dried out his beautiful coat a LOT. I have since gone back to the oatmeal shampoo I always used and his coat has recovered. The scales and dandruff have not returned.

What we needed

This shampoo was vet and Groomer recommended. We are happy with how it has helped our doggies flaky skin and itching. We've tried a lot for her to get her thyroid symptoms under control. This is another product in our arsenal of her care.

This product works! My dog has peace, no longer scratching dang near constantly. Why can’t I buy it in a Gallon jug? I did when for over a year.

Best shampoo for dog's coat.

We had a serious problem with our dogs coat coming out in patches. We tried several medicated shampoos for dogs. This is the ONLY one that has achieved the elimination of bald spots. Her coat is full and silky smooth now. I highly recommend Vetoquinol BPO-3 for any coat problems. It REALLY WORKS.

Worst dog shampoo EVER!

I give this dog/cat/horse shampoo zero stars. (to submit review I had to choose at least one star) My Shih Tzu had an allergy on her shoulder, resulting in hives and a small amount of hair loss. My vet thought it was due to an outdoor allergy, then recommended this shampoo to me to help the folliculitis. After I shampooed my pup, she immediately became super itchy and inflamed. Then I noticed burn-like marks all over her body, and major hair chunks falling out. I have had dogs and cats my entire life, using many products, and I have never witnessed anything like this. I highly recommend staying away from this shampoo for your dog!

Good product

Vet recommended. Nothing was working for our dogs skin problem. Vetoquinol seems to be doing the trick.

Best Dog Shampoo for Skin Allergies

My puppy Luke has the worst skin allergies you can fathom. On top of that he has an autoimmune condition named Pemphigus Vulgaris which in conjunction with the Allergies makes him get fungus and yeast on his body and fur- this shampoo is effective on getting rid of it and there after maintaining his coat smelling good. It also cleans his blood stains from his fur without causing him pain. I have only found this product at Chewy’s - it came fast and affordable!
