Excellent Supplement for cats who require extra potassium
By Coleen on Feb 23, 2021
I have a kitty who needs a potassium supplement due to her IBD condition. I switched from the Renal K+ gel, which is maple flavored, to the powder, which is fish flavored, and my cat loves it! It used to be a struggle to get her to eat her wet food with the maple gel but now she gobbles it with the fish flavored powder. This product has helped improve my cat’s health. Thank you Renal K+! Additionally, Chewy is an excellent company, with very expedient service and delivery!

Much better than the gel version!
By sevie on Jan 15, 2021
The powder absolutely stinks, like dead fish, so of course the cat loves it. The gel version Vetoquinal makes is maple flavored, which might be tasty to dogs but my cat hated it so much he hid when it was time to get some. I switched to this, the powder form, and mix it into his food with his other supplements and he gobbled it up. Assuming it has the supplements it says it has, then this one is my vote for supporting a cat’s kidney health!

Easy to administer
By SuzieQ on Feb 11, 2021
I recently had used the same product but in the gel form which was not always easy to administer. I had to use a syringe and inject into my cat's mouth. This powder is so much easier, just sprinkle on wet food. She loves it and no more fighting her to use syringe method.

She likes it!
By deldol on Feb 8, 2021
My aging Sophia with chronic kidney disease is quite finicky so I introduced this gradually. She loves this stinky stuff on her food. I can't comment on how it's affected her health as we have only used for a short time.

He's Perkier
By jama on Sep 11, 2020
Only been using this a short while, but he seems more active and alert. Cats are experts at hiding their pain, so it's hard to figure out what ails them. This does seem to be helping him, but I'm not putting the full dose in yet--introducing it slowly. His eyes are bright and he is getting back in my lap, so it appears to be an appropriate choice for Hamp.

My cat likes it!
By Orangecat on Aug 20, 2020
It was a relief to find this powdered form of Renal K+ which is easy to sprinkle on a little food, and my cat gobbles it up. (Our vet had previously prescribed Renal K+ in a tube, which is a smelly gel that the cat hated -- and it also got stuck in his fur when he spat it out.)

good so far
By kittyl on Jul 23, 2020 Top 250 Contributor
my senior cat with kidney disease testing with hypokalemia (potassium deficiency) needs a potassium supplement. i had another type that was in granules form, but couldn't get her to take it consistently so her potassium level dropped even more. thankfully i found this one to try and she seems to like eating it with no hesitation so far. it is fine powder, so easy to blend into broth/food. i noticed immediate improvements in her condition

Cat will take it
By clem on Apr 20, 2020
Can't really say just yet how much it's affecting her potassium levels and overall kidney health, but my CKD old lady cat will eat this fine mixed in with her wet food. It even has a sort of fishy smell to it, so that may be helping. As far as I'm concerned, that's a win.
