  • Great Supplement

    By on

I use this for a feral cat who had a hard time breathing. His eye was shut and wasn’t able to eat much due to coughing. He improved greatly and the eye is cleared up. He is eating good now and breathing fine. I use this along with a multivitamin gel. Since he got fixed years ago he is impossible to catch to be able to go and see the vet. So I talked to my vet and he recommended this. I just mix couple of scoop daily with his wet food and he gobbles it up. The price is reasonable and shipping was fast.

  • Much cheaper on Chewy than vet or pharmacy!

Over the past year my vets have advised that I incorporate one scoop of Viralys powder into each wet food meal for my cats to help with their overall health (potentially working to prevent kitty colds and UTI's). I haven't seen noticeable short-term or long-term results, other than my cats have not become majorly ill. I'm recommending for the value of purchasing through Chewy rather than the vet or PetSmart pharmacy. It's essentially HALF PRICE at Chewy!

I am a crazy cat lady with 5 yes 5 cats. 2 seniors, I with herpes, 1 with constant eye and ear issues and 1 who is FIV. The Fiv cat is kept seperate from the others and he is in excellent health. The one that had herpes from birth has never had any flare-ups since his original bout but one of my seniors has had several flare-ups. Needless to say the vet bills have been astronomical and have offered little improvement. My vet told me to give them all l-lysine and I tried but they would not eat the crushed pills or the chews. I saw this product on Chewy and read the reviews and thought I would give it a try. I mixed the power in the wet food and they all ate it without hesitation. The senior cat was having a bout with herpes and sneezing a lot. That had disappeared by day 5. the cat with the eye and ear problems has improved considerably. The vet is not sure what the issue is and thinks maybe allergies so this cat is on zyrtec for allergies zymox for yeast in ears and now the viralys for her immune system. Again it has only been a week and she is the best she has been in 6-8 months. Her eyes are clearer and she is much more energetic. I hope that as time goes on she will improve even more. I am very happy I found this product and plan on ordering the large size and continuing to give it to all my cats for life. … more

  • So far so good

I bought this for my FeLV kitty who has no eyes. He was diagnosed the day I purchased it. We have been using it twice a day every day, and he seems to feel better. I hope it will give his immune system the boost it needs for him to stay healthy as long as possible. The shipping was crazy fast! Defintely will be ordering more when we run out.

  • Great product, worth every penny!

We have a 4 cat home from a senior to a rescue kitten. Our senior has been the most symptomatic & giving him this with his wet food has been amazing! We give this to all our kitties (dosing their wet food based on weight as directed) since they're all rescues & exposed.

  • Highly recommend

My feral cat has some issue with her eyes. I ordered Viralys L-lysine Powder and bites, too. I stir it into her can food and she eats it up . The powder has a strong smell but you can't smell it after you stir it into can food. I like that there is a scoop inside the jar.

  • Can't really say much...

Put this in my kitty's food and he pretty much refused to eat it. I stopped using it as I rather my baby not go hungry. All in all, he detected the flavor and didn't like it. This might work for less finicky cats, but sadly, mine owns stock on the word finicky.

  • Helps with my girl’s runny eyes & coughing.

    By on

My little black cat went to the vet a few times for runny eyes/nose and coughing. As soon as she tried Lysene powder it cleared up considerably and she VERY rarely ever coughs now. She’s been on the powder for about a year and a half now and does great with it!

  • sniffle & sneezes

    By on

My cat has been sneezing and sniffling for years and it seems to keep getting worse each year. He received an antibiotic shot, which was a waste of time and money as we were told it would only last 2 weeks. Lysine was recommended as a supplement so we started with this powder for all three of our cats and it does seem to have slowed the sneezing and coughing down somewhat. I realize this has to build up in his immune system but he does seem a little less congested than before we started using it.

  • Seeing is Believing

    By on

We have used this product since about 2008 . A stray kitty wondered into into our lives , our hearts. Her eyes were infected with herpes . After months of eye drops and placed on the Vetoquinol for the remainder of her life ,her eyes sparkled just like her personality. I have used it on all our kitties. Our senior is now sixteen and a half years old and full of life.
