About VetriScience Laboratories Cat Food

Stop Stress in Its Tracks

Stressed out kitties can develop behavioral and health problems, leading to issues like marking, scratching, aggressive behavior and stress-induced illness. Composure helps calm cats using a unique combination of ingredients including colostrum, L-theanine and thiamine. Just give your cat the fast-acting, easy to administer soft chews or liquid formula at the first sign of stress behavior or during stressful situations.

For Everyday Stress

The advanced calming formula in Composure can be used daily to help nervous cats and those in new stressful situations adapt. It has no known side effects and won’t change your kitty’s personality or make her sleepy—just calmer and less stressed!

Fast-Acting with Customized Dosing

Composure starts working in as little as 20-30 minutes, so you can give it as soon as you notice signs of distress. You can even double or triple the dose for extra stressful situations without worrying about affecting your cat’s energy levels. Sudden thunderstorms, dinner parties and trips to the vet just got a whole lot easier!

Vet Formulated and Researched

The advanced formula combines extensively researched ingredients that work together to provide non-narcotic stress relief. Colostrum Calming Complex promotes stress reduction and improved cognition, L-Theanine supports relaxation and less irritability, while thiamine acts on the central nervous system to help instill calm.

Use as Much or As Little as Needed

Give Composure on a daily basis for general anxiety and nervousness or up the dose for particularly difficult situations or rough days. It’s a safe, non-pharmaceutical, herbal-free supplement, so it won’t cause drowsiness, personality changes or side effects even at double or triple the normal dose.

hard, not chewy

I got these to give to one of my cats before bedtime. Because at bedtime he sees this as the perfect time to annoy another one of my cats. First thing I noticed about these was the size. They are pretty big. I gave him a whole one and he had a hard time chewing it. So I started cutting them in half, and it took a lot of pressure with the knife. They are hard as rocks. I felt bad giving them to my cat so I eventually stopped. I didn’t even notice a change in behavior when he took them. We tried one a night and two a night.

Anxiety Relief!

Simon is a very anxious cat, and things seem to set him off, especially at night, (he was adopted and I think nighttimes weren't good in his old household). These have been a lifesaver. He looks forward to them and they seem to give a sort of meltonin effect? He tends to just doze off. I give him 1 when he seems to be feeling particularly anxious at night, and they've helped so much.

If only they would eat them

I wanted to calm my cats enough so that I could trim their nails. It worked moderately well and I was able to trim four claws on my big boy. I was willing to try again the next day but the next day, they would not eat the chews. So a fail overall for me.

Works but cat refused after a week

I really had high hopes for these behavioral treats and they didn't disappoint. They worked right away and my kitty was more relaxed. I bought a few more bags and she started to refuse the treat after the 1st week so now I have all these behavioral treats I shouldn't have bought so soon. I would still says these work well

calms itching and aggression

We tried these with our aggressive cat to see if it would help with his aggressiveness. Two or three at a time usually do. They have the added benefit of reducing his itching, which is caused by a food allergy. I'm not sure what we would do without these treats. We tried the liquid composure, but it did not have the same effect. Super grateful for these because we can merge our aggressive and our pacifist cat when these are in effect.

Really helps my cat

First, the flaw. The chews are really hard and most cats won't eat them whole. I cut each one into 4 pieces and my kitty eats them right up. She is an anxious cat and the chews help her not be on high alert all the time. It's the only calming aid that she will consistently eat.

You gotta get them to eat it first!

My 3 male cats get along well - until they don't. I thought these chewys might smooth them out. Only one of the 3 would eat them; the other 2 showed no interest. I even chopped it into their wet food, but only the same one cat would eat that also.

doesn't work....

I gave my cats these treats for the past 2 weeks, and it doesn't seem to calm them down, they're still very stressed out. I wasn't sure what was wrong. I also tried giving them more, but nothing changed...

Worked so well!!

Our cat was stressed from a new baby and was having litter box issues. After ruling out a UTI, and it becoming increasingly hard to give her a pill we tried these and LOVE them!

Great idea in theory

I was really surprised how hard these were. I had hopped for something a little softer, especially since I was giving them to an 11 year old. That being said, she won’t even entertain the idea of them. I’m always looking for ways for my pets to be less stressed and with my increased work schedule I had high hopes this could help her, but back to the drawing board we go!
