This spray can be used directly on cats. Spray a small amount on the cat, observing for any signs of sensitivity (skin irritation, rapid breathing, incoordination, etc.) for one hour. According to the directions for use, for Cats 12 Weeks or Older: Shake well before use. Sensitivity may occur with the use of any product on individual cats. Thereafter, apply a light spray on the cat’s coat and brush in so product reaches the skin. Do not saturate or soak the coat. Use caution to avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, genitals, and other sensitive areas. Let the coat dry completely before allowing cats to groom themselves to minimize incidental ingestion. Wash your hands thoroughly after use. If fleas or ticks are present, apply two (2) times per week with at least 48 hours between applications. For ongoing prevention and maintenance, apply one (1) time per week.
