Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

I know it says it kills fleas and ticks, and repells mosquitos. Does it also repell/prevent fleas and ticks?

Answer by ChewyAug 11, 2018
This product uses peppermint oil and clove extract (eugenol) to help control and kill fleas, flea eggs, and ticks on contact, and also repels mosquitoes.

Hi, I've read peppermint is toxic to dogs and would like to make sure this formula is at a low enough concentration to not cause harm to our puppy. I used it on her this morning and it seemed to calm her scratching right away!

Answer by ChewyMar 21, 2018
The amount of peppermint in this supplement is absolutely safe for dogs and as long as it's used as directed it should not be harmful.

Can I spray this in the grass?

Answer by ChewyJun 12, 2018
The Vet's Best Flea + Tick Yard & Kennel Spray for Dogs & Cats would be the best option for spraying in the grass.

Can this be used on dog bedding?

Answer by ChewyMar 07, 2024

I have a black lab mix and she loves to run the hills playing the creek and so on. Now that it has warmed up I'm constantly pulling ticks off of her I have been looking online I have asked local vets on what I can use to spray on my dog to help with the ticks. The vets really didn't want to recommend sprays just the pill. I went on Chewy's chat and asked them what they would recommend and this was the stuff that they told me about, so I ordered it and I actually really do like this spray. It seems to help with the ticks, I'm not picking as many, and it has a good smell of peppermint so it does not leave your dog with a bad odor like some sprays do. I have also sprayed it inside my home where my dog lays. I definitely will be buying more of this spray that way I'll have it for this whole summer.

One of the 4 bottles leaked out. The top was not screwed on tightly.

About 1/4 of the bottle had leaked out. Do you want me to return it. Or, will you just send another one? Thanks, Linda

Not for me

I sprayed this product as directed, on my Elkhound, and noticed no relief. Not sure if it works better with smaller dogs, but it was unsuccessful for us.
