My 4 cats love this particular flavor, but why is there is so much gel??

my cat loves 3 flavors of the brand

My cat likes particular flavors. He is normally a fan of pate style but he finishes all shredded meats. He loves lamb, salmon (pink), funk in the trunk only. I wish he loved chicken (yellow) These brands are vet recommended brand and lower calorie.

Mixed review

I usually buy the Weruva brand, and for the most part, the cats love it. This one I find that one cat likes it and the other will not eat it. If I stay away from the brand's chicken they seem to eat, and this was mixed, so I thought it would be OK, but it was not. Something about the chicken with this brand they do not like. And I, too, have found air pockets. At first, I thought maybe I had just scooped out more than I realized, but after reading other reviews, I realized that I was, in fact, not totally crazy and there were indeed air pockets. If your cat enjoys this brand's chicken and beef I would recommend, but beware of less than advertising weight. Well, I should not say that as I have not weighed the cans, but it does seem less than they should be.

Delicious - but air pockets

Love the food, the kitties love it.. just always has air pockets in the can that make it seem like there's less food in the can than advertised.

Not worth the price

Both of my cats refused to eat this food. They usually like flaked food but I tried to feed them 3 times with this food and nothing, not even a nibble. Sniff and walk away.

A stable choice

Both cats like this flavor. Big chucks of fish in a gel base.

Looks good, but...

My cats just ain't that wild about the Weruva food. One will simply not eat it—any variety. Two others will eat some if deprived of another choice for long enough. One will eat anything, so... I'm disappointed, but three out of four cats say "Nope".

Cats didn’t like it

I tried to blend it in but just couldn’t get the kitty boys to bite. I hate wasting anything though so my trash pandas loved it. Fed them a can a day until it was gone. For the cats I think it’s a pate they prefer.

Cat now demands all foods to be immersion blended with some added water!

It's all about her :) Quinn the Persian Tortie used to eat all varieties as-is, then decided suddenly that all canned foods must be deeply pureed, even pate-style foods! Plus add about 1-2 oz of water per ~5 oz can before blending. And make a complex food cans rotation, with only chicken, chicken+beef, or chicken+liver. The silver lining - she is the best hydrated cat we've ever had. Her favorite cans are all by Weruva. She also has Instinct Original Chicken dry kibble daily.

Was hopeful

The fur kids love this brand . I thought , perfect ! The two things they love put together ...... I was very wrong . They actively backed away and left it . They like the other beef flavours but for some reason dislike this one in particular .. Will not be buying this flavour again .

Used to like Weruva

Ordered this flavor to diversify my cats diet. I bought it in the past and they liked it. This time in almost every jar I opened food has grey/green tint to it and I am afraid to give it to my cats. In the past food was of nice cooked meat like color. Weruva seems to be having issues with quality control.
