Soft consistency pate
Press Your Dinner and Press Your Lunch are on my core rotation of wet foods for my cats. I like the higher water content and softer texture of these over other pates that are dense and dry (my cats are not big pate fans but dig these). I am not a huge fan of a few of the ingredients (several gums, and potato starch high on the list) hence 4/5 score. For those who complain about jello-like consistency and cats having a hard time eating it, try mashing it with a spoon/fork before giving it to the cat. It makes a big difference (plus that's what you are supposed to do with all pates anyways, regardless of consistency).
Strange jello like texture
I loved the idea of a pate that was healthier than traditional pate but this has a weird texture my picky pate / gravy loving cats can't seem to lick up past the top of what I put out. They won't bite into it. This pate jiggles like a jello mold not like a pate like friskies. Wish it could have worked but does not. My non picky eater will eat it though. But the non picky guy eats anything I put down including this. But not picky pate-only loving cats.
Picky cat approved
This food absolutely does look like meat jello. Luckily, it only needs to be enticing to our cat and not to me. I mash this up with a fork before giving it to him to make it more appealing and he seems to really like it. We have a hard time keeping weight on our senior cat and to top it off, he's picky, but doesn't want the same thing every meal. I like that it is higher in calories since we have a hard time getting him to eat enough in general. Our 6 month old kitten also comes and polishes off whatever his older brother hasn't eaten.
Jelly like consistency....don't waste your money
I went to such lengths to compare this food to the Paw Lickin Chicken shredded Weruva. I thought it would be same food but in a pate form ...it is a glutenous jelly-like substance that my 4 cats would not even lick. I would not either! This is not a puree, pate etc. Do yourself a favor and don't buy it!
Quality Control Issue
I ordered two packs of this food. Every other can has what looks like green slime on the top. Tonight, I had to open three cans before I found one without the green on top. It was difficult to get a clear pic, but think "green." This was a huge waste of money, so I think I'll give Weruva a pass from now on.
Chicken Jello?
I thought this would be like regular pate but it turned out to be gelatin like and the cats would not eat it. Cant say I blame them.
Both cats love it
I had to switch wet food brands (again), this time due to health concerns, and trialed Weruva. Compared to the other brands I tried, both of mine absolutely loved this, such that they start begging for it 2+ hours before dinner time. It's a gel-like pate vs. the usual solid pates, but that makes it easier for me to split a can, and the cats seem to really enjoy the texture and consistency. They each lick their bowls clean. I'm really happy with this brand since it gives my cats the quality, ingredients, and composition they need without having to pay for prescription food they don't (yet) need.
Cat loves but some cans are bad when opened
My 19+ year old cat loves this food. Licks his bowl clean. The only issue is at least one can of the dozen are not sealed properly and when I open the can the top layer is brown/gray rather than the normal pink. I end up throwing it out because I don't 'know if it has gone bad. Kind of losing the 5% autoship discount because I only get 10 ti 11 good cans out of each batch. I will continue to buy since Cat loves it so much and he's 19 so whatever he likes he gets.
FANTASTIC FOOD...
My cat that is sick loves this food. It's so hydrating for him and easy to eat. What ever he leaves in the plate, my other cats finish it off.
This stuff is weird
This cat food has an odd gelatinous texture. I've never seen anything like it. The cats licked it a few times but ultimately walked away. I'd heard good things about this brand but I won't buy it again.
