These are the best
This the 3rd rowdies Custer squeaky plush toy we bought for our Boston Terrier Niki. She is 10 months and we welcomed her into our home when she was 5 months. These are the only ones that she doesn't get the squeaky out of. We have at least 6 toys that she destroyed, but these are still in tack. Pink, green and yellow. Now I see there is a purple one to buy,
Good so Far
This toy integrates an extremely durable rubber chew toy into the end of a plush toy. My dog prefers plush toys but destroys them all. I know he could chew the material on this but the rubber end is enough to keep his attention. The squeaker is also a good feature. Very satisfied with this toy so far but they are expensive
Our dog loves it!
Our dog loves this toy! Still not the most durable but she hasn't completely torn it apart after a week. Love that it's made in Mexico and not China.
He doesn’t chew it!!
The only stuffed toy he hasn’t torn apart! He loves the other shapes too!!
Squeak is weak
The squeaker was ripped out the first day but amazingly she did not tear the rest of it up. She is loving it like a baby doll.
Not as durable as expected from West Paw
Squeaker broken within a few hours of supervised play. The fluff is also easy for the dog to rip off (had to redirect to ensure not pulling this off and eating it). Quality did not match the price unfortunately.
It is a great squeaky toy,but the fur is easily pulled off by the dog It would be better without the fur West Paw is a great company, all the dogs are from that company
lasted less than 2 hours
Our Springer chewed a whole and removed the squeaky in less than 2 hours. Not worth the money
One dog, less than 45 minutes
I kid you not, gave this toy to our 11 year old golden retriever and we witnessed a debacle of destruction. Stage 1 (first 10 minutes): Ripping out the hairs on the toy and leaving hair tufts all over the yard.(which are attached outside the fabric and easy to pull out with a human hand). In fact if you pull on these hairs with your hands you can literally rip them apart- the hair fibers have incredibly low tear strength. Stage 2: Biting through the fabric and removing the stuffing with squeaker. The good: the poly fill inside stays together and is easier to clean up than plain white stuffing. While plush toys are by definition nearly impossible to make indestructible, I had high hopes for west paw as the reviews and fancy tech fabric claims, such as “Hardyflex” promised durability. I was sorely disappointed, for comparison our goDog dinosaur lasted longer. Although the fabrics constructed in these materials have been branded as Hardytex, there’s really nothing special about it- hair fibers are captured in a nonwoven backing (see photos) laminated to a denser non-stretch mesh fabric- which is essentially a million holes with potential to tear. A cordura like nylon fabric is far stronger than mesh body material. Additionally, you’ll see that there is only one line of stitching and no reinforcement stitching for added durability. He Likes It!
Our Rottie has enjoyed this toy since we got it a couple of weeks ago. He likes the shape and the squeak, which is very difficult to find in a tough toy. It's stood up really well to his rough play.
